I read through the first 7-8 pages but don't have time to read all of this but will say with 100% knowledge & fact on this. I looked up CPA's roster and many of the players have been there since elementary grade school and many since kindergarten.

Give me private any day! If many of you knew exactly what was being taught in the public schools or not allowed to be taught you would be appalled.

Can Bowers and Wade be at the game in the stands? Cell phone communication? Two way radios? What else can they do?

Why doesn't CPA play Wharton FT at QB? Man, that would be so hard to defend--he can throw from what I've seen.

what does that mean?

Who made the plays for CPA n the 2nd half? Did Goodpasture kick to Wharton any--did he return any kicks/punts for TDs?

How did Wharton do against Whites Creek?

I don't get it either--against Goodpasture Wharton was awesome! I also found some youtube video of Wharton last year as a freshman and he was crazy good at QB. It seems like they just are not getting the ball in his hands which makes no sense to me as he obviously is the most talented guy on the team. Look at his film against Goodpasture and it's pure speed and athletic ability that Goodpasture had absolutely no answer for. One has to wonder why he isn't getting the ball more?

If Wharton is that #5 that I saw against Goodpasture then why in the world isn't he playing QB? He's instantly a duel threat and very hard to defend because of the pass/throw option on every play. I also found out he's only a sophomore!

I've heard this, anyone know for sure? They (CPA) don't seem to be the team they were 8-10 years ago.

Wow, this should be a great game to watch. CPA beat them for the region but I think this game is a pick em, could go either way. Goodpasture must stop Z. Mason but he is so big and has such good hands you just can't stop him completely. Better get there early cause it's gonna be packed.

CPA has 3 or 4 (can't remember exactly) starters back at full strength after being out early in the season. These starters are very good players and are making a huge difference. Mason for CPA is simply a beast and GP had no answer for him, he's just so big and talented--he must be at least 6'6" and probably 240-250 and can move like a smaller man at that. I think Alcoa is still heads above anyone in 2A but I wouldn't be shocked if CPA made it to the state final game against them because of their bracket. Also, the CPA QB has a very strong and accurate arm and seems so calm and relaxed. I was pretty impressed with them last after seeing their game, I saw them against Ensworth earlier this year and they looked much better this time.

My point is they came back running the Wing-T, but I agree CPA is no where to the level as Alcoa but they are probably equal with GP as they played them very close both times this year.

Didn't GP get down 19-0 to CPA and came back with this same Wing-T they had tonight?

Not sure about Alex House but I assume he played on last year's team who lost both time to Goodpasture. I'm not a Goodpasture fan but obviously CPA has to beat them to make it anywhere, usually. Goodpasture has beaten David Lipscomb, Ravenwood and McGavock. The latter is 5A but not a traditional power but 5A nonetheless. I attended the CPA/Goodpasture playoff game last year and CPA did play with heart and had their chance. I think Alcoa is light years ahead in Athletic ability/skill players. I do know Ensworth can and does pay for certain athletes to attend their school, noty sure about Goodpasture and I know CPA doesn't. Maybe it's just the current players and not the coaching but they (CPA) just aren't as tough/physical as they used to appear.

The game I attended seem to have many very young players either starting or playing. Not downing them but they had some players at normally very physical positions like LB that just looked very thin and weak. Then I look at a team in their region like Goodpasture and they look so much bigger and physical. They just seem to have gone down in size almost every year since their last state title.
