  1. Offensive linemen...could have easily played against Hillwood, but why? Will be 100% against Oaktown.
  2. Some good games this week. Smyrna wins. Can't give a prediction because Lebanon is good and they can keep it close, but if Smyrna plays like they are capable of, I'd say 10+...
  3. I'm sure he's not telling everyone how tough the WR's are going to be on the region based of that game, because we didn't even pass much last night. Oakland is a big game next week, will have a lot to do with getting to the playoffs. Hopefully we can put the pass and run game together and start executing more efficiently.
  4. Our win over Blackman was huge because they will get better every week. I wish I could agree with your post, but you got to remember when the last time Riverdale lost a region game at home. I know I can't remember. I say Riverdale by 17. Based on reputation.
  5. LaVergne came out and took care of business. Randall tore it up. Gray had 4 TD's, but one they said was out of bounds and one was a punt return called back. Really don't know what to say about this one. I just know that we are definately not looking at that game anymore. Oakland is our concern now. and Whetstone will be back next week.
  6. Well playing Lincoln co. in a scrimmage this summer and playing Blackman in week 0, I had no doubt they would win last night.
  7. There are no holes in the region games this year. Upsets are way more realistic this year. Considering every team is good. No wonder they region 4 is the best.
  8. By the way, that's really considerate to let me redeem my pick from week 0. I appreciate that. I'm glad to be a respected poster.
  9. It's hard to tell who is going to be good considering a lot of RB's had big nights last week. Going based on consistancy from last year to the 1st game of the season... Sterling Marshall Jordan Dailey Tillery Seward a couple more..
  10. Oakland Siegel LaVergne Lebanon Riverdale Smyrna Blackman Wilson Central Maryville Hendersonville Warren Co. Region 4 sweeps week 1.
  11. I guess you can look at it as a win/lose situation either way you want to look at it. In reality, just to be real, we all think we're gonna flat out dominate them. That doesn't mean we're looking for them to give us anything. We just think we have all the matchups for this one. However, we're not really seeing what we will have to face later in the season. But it will give us confidence and momentum going into Oakland if we dominate. Of course, we won't have much to be proud about, but regardless of the team, who's not gonna be confident after a blowout, ya know? Say if we played a team such as the likes of Franklin, and maybe ended up losing. That wouldn't be as good of momentum and confidence going into Oakland. Maybe this was scheduled because there are two new head coaches for both teams. Prediction: LaVergne comes out strong. One thing I want LaVergne to work on this game is staying consistent and not dropping off. Against Blackman there were maybe two drives in a row that LaVergne couldn't execute and that did nothing but give them more confidence and motivation to win. Even though we was controlling the game, we let them stick around . We could have struck early, but we kind of lost tempo a little bit. I'll have to blame that on Gray's fumble towards the goal line on the 1st drive. .... LaVergne wins. No score prediction.
  12. Yeah, I basically shot myself in the foot for not putting BA.
  13. Not being cocky by any means, but I wouldn't say Blackman's defense wasn't bad. LaVergne's WR's just couldn't be stopped. We didn't run the same play every time, it seemed like it because when we found the holes in the coverage, we went to the bread and butter. Coach Hester and the WR's did a great job at doing so. Wallace followed Gray every snap of the night and that resulted in big plays for the other WR's.
  14. The way MBA ran the ball on Antioch last night, Riverdale should take this one pretty easily. Dale 21+ I'm still kinda trippin' how the score was 14-0 last night. Would the credit go to Oakland's defense? or was Riverdale's offense just not clicking yet? Or Both?
  15. Can someone explain McClain getting 1 carry for 3 yards. I hope thats a typo on the Tennessean.
  16. Not gonna give much tonight. Super tired. Im gonna just stress 3 things. Shawn Smith will be nationally ranked his senior year. I'm calling it. If he can work hard in the weightroom and hopefully get a few more inches on him. He will be DEADLY. Words can't express how proud I am of Crocker.....21-35-288....NO INT'S and LaVergne's WR's are deadly. They can light it up anywhere. Patton 6-104, TD Gardener 4-56, TD Gray 7-100
  17. Well I had thought thats what he meant because following that quote, it had said something about the RB's having the same mindset as last year and Twon' and Mace had that cocky-type mindset. Sorry I'm sooooo sloooooow.
  18. Dooooooooooooooooubt it. They won't get cocky and if they do, I don't believe it will be so much different. However, Jarvis Hicks sounded a little cocky in the paper today. "It "ain't" no competition".
  19. Antioch is not bad this year, but MBA should be solid and I don't believe they will be able to stop MBA's run game, however I believe MBA will stop Antioch's. MBA by 10-21
