Yes it was, I agree with you. I thought early it looked like a possible win, but as the season played out it wasn't looking like the Govs would win.. Now we are big McMinn co fans for the Cleveland game..

AC has a really strong senior class but with the score like that, seems like it would be a good chance to get the jv Qb (who looked impressive when I seen him play WB jv) some varsity reps..

If the Govs pull this on out I believe it will be a bigger upset than in 2005 when the owls came into WB #2 in the state and lost 28-21..

Yes, that did a happen. WB in the final 3 mins Friday looked similar to the team that scrimmaged HVA..

I believe Shad would be the first to tell you things haven't went as well as he had hoped, but they do seem to have a different attitude about themselves this year. Beating the 8th rank team in the state in his second year I thought was gonna be a kick start to Shadowens era at WB, but for whatever reasons, it didn't. This senior class came in when he came in and they seem to carry the attitude that their coach wants from them. Beating Lenior city(5a playoff team) in a ugly game and then seeing what they did to coach Harrigs redskins makes that win look better. In the AC game WB did some things well, but still gave up way too many yards, and had 3 big mistakes on offense that probably cost them 18 points, Its just awesome to watch the Govs compete in games again..

Yes Maryville will be the favorite as they have been for the last 69 home games.. This one looks to be a very tough challenge to keep that streak alive, but I got the rebels pulling this one off late.. 21-20, safe travels to Oakland

yes the band burgers are great also if u want to grab something at the game.. Weather looks perfect for the game 80 and sunny. I cant imagine a very big crowd tonight, with Oakland in town playing Maryville, but Stanton is worth the price of admission, he threw for @400 and ran for @200 on blount seem like last year.. TC's Grill is close by and pretty darn good WB has made an addition to their atmosphere (I believe they stole the idea from you guys) I think you will like I just hope they get to use them multiple times..

Tennessee high school football seems to be the same teams every year.. week 1 only 30% of the games were played within 2 touchdowns of each other...Very boring...be thankful for games like this one Friday.

Pouring rain in the second half I believe had something to do with the lack of offense also. Looked to me that Shad trusted his defense to win him the game and they did. Trust me I’m not blind I know the offense is not good enough yet,in a game against a high powered offense like AC WB will have to be able to score 28+
