Farragut by 3 TDs.

Rigger101, I don't think anyone in Oak Ridge that has half a brain about football, is taking Farragut lightly, they know you all have a special team this year. It will be a great game, and may not be the only time they face each other this year. Looking forward to the game, but, OR still has Ooltewah to take care of first, this is high school football, nothing can be taken for granted.

I'm not whinning, as I stated there was fault on both sides, not so much on the Loudon football team, but like I said this radio announcer has been spouting off at the mouth all year, this is'nt the first time this announcer has been called out, and won't be the last. Looks like the good folks in Loudon would be tired of there program being in the news so to speak about an announcer, instead of the fact the football team is performing at such a high level, week in, and week out. If you've lost respect for me as a poster, I'm sorry, once again you've posted a good post, only to cheapen it by the whinners club comment. I have'nt posted one negative comment about the Loudon football team , nor a personal remark about you or your point of view, yet you seem to feel it neccessary to do so! I've stated my piece, and will move on. Attack if you must!

fan2fan, I am parent of a player and cheerleader, I would not want my daughter going to the opposing side to cheer for her team, that would be showing a lack of respect to that team, I've seen opposing cheerleaders come to our side of the field and do a cheer for our team, thats ok, but to come over and do a cheer for there own team seems kinda tacky, this was done DURING the game,and opens the door for a bad situation, ie... having eggs or waterballoons thrown at them, not to mention the unprintable heckles they would hear from the student section, (kids will be kids). I encourage you to listen to the playback, www.redskinradio.com, and judge for youself if think this is appropriate. Again my hats off to the Loudan team, hope they have future success! And by the way we don't shoot off guns at our games, since when did Loudan County become so much more civilized than Roane County. You make a good post go south with comments like that!!

It was a game for the most part in the first half, but the second half belonged to Loudan. Loudan should be proud of what this team has accomplished after last year. I'm sure no one feels worst about the ejected player, than the player himself. I will comment on two things of interest, sending the hometeams (Loudan) cheerleaders to the opponants side of the field to cheer Loudan cheers is an accident waiting to happen, and I also feel it shows a lack of respect for the opposing team, also the announcer for the radio station making spiteville comments concerning the officials, the other teams coach and players should not be tolerated. I know for a fact he does this everygame and was'nt just making these comments about Oliver Springs. Why Loudan allows this is beyond me. The Loudan TEAM deserves better than this, it just puts a black eye on the program, one thats not necessary, you have good team, let your actions on the field speak for themselves. Unless, that is, your proud of these types of things. It just takes the focus off of the fact that your team is having an succesful year, the attention should be on the boys!! I'm sure this is just the first hornet coming out of this nest, (concerning future post), let me say this, the better team won last night, that should be the news this morning, not the fact that a fan heckled A KID, and he reacted poorly and was thrown out, and not the cheerleaders coming to our side of the field and cheering for Loudan, or the fact you have an adult calling your games on the radio, that acts like a ten year old!

Although I voted for the new sub-forums, I don't think that the folks who voted against it are, as you put it "illiterate". Am I to take it, that if someone disagrees with you, there Illiterate? I find that IG-GOR-NANT!!!

Who is the star freshman at Oliver Springs? I don't know how you don't give Sam the job, his record at OSMS, is something like 165 wins - - between 10 to 20 lossess. You don't have to look any further than Sam when talking about the succcess OS has had at the high school level. I'm not taking anything away from any head coach at OS, but, I would imagine, to the man, everyone of them would tell you, that the feeder program from the middle school has been second to none.

DelTavian, I read the thread this morning for the first time about the PA announcer at the Softball game, that is a Classic, everyone who enjoys CoachT, should read this thread. To be honest I don't understand his obsession with Oak Ridge football, he has more post about OR than Clinton, but still, I do find them kinda funny. While you may think Oak Ridges success on the football field warrant the use of "Smack Talk", Not all, if not most don't feel the same way as you. Some of your post are down right embarrassing. Yea E, what about your playing time!!! Roll Wildcats Roll!!!

I don't know of the so called background problems within the program, but, to start a petition in the middle of the season was wrong, problems or no problems, no good could come of this action. The kids deserved to be kicked off, splitting a team in two during the season helps no one!!

True but Polls are just that polls, Every poll in the nation had Tennessee in the top ten if not the top five, now look where there at. I'm not Maryville bashing, I wish they would settle it on the field. One note of interest. The TSSAA has Maryvilles enrollment as 1351. Here is how the classifications unfold: 5A 1358 and above 4A 984 to 1357 3A 667 to 983 2A 399 to 666 1A 398 and under With a little push in enrollment at Maryville, we may get our wish.

You keep posting the same post about the last Anderson County team "IN" the championship game, Oak Ridge has NEVER LOST a championship game, Its kinda sad that the only thing you can be pround of is being "IN" the game, only once mind you, and never having WON the game. As for GOV Man, until Maryville is willing to step it up and schedule OR, we'll never no who has the best team, I do find it strange that you would rank Farragut above OR, and then pick OR to beat them, plus your basing your opinion on one game. I wish they would play each other this year, it would be the biggest game in Tennessee.

I'll second that!! How many High Schools have the attention given to them by the local paper (which since Tank took over is fantastic), not one but FOUR local TV shows dedicated to high school football. Tanks and Gooses show on Wednesday night, and Saturday morning, the call in show on Friday night, which Tank still has a small hand in, and David Clarys show with the coach and players on Wednesday night,his live telecast of the game on radio and channel 15 locally, and his playback of the game on Saturdays. This takes alot of time and attention by these folks and others involved. Whew thats alot, and does not even include the other teams that are covered. We are indeed lucky to have these types of individuals willing to spend the time and effort for our kids. I wonder if any other high schools in Tennessee have this kind of attention given to there program?

Maryville vs Knox Central

Ole Dad, If you remember how tough Farragut played Oak Ridge while coach Hale was here, you probably remember how Knox Central was always a thorn in our side, the Farragut game and Central game was usually a nail biter, I'll always remember the Central game OR had the word Revenge on the helmets, That game still makes me sick to my stomach.
