  1. I was really surprised by that. He declined to say that Bolivar only managed 4 first dows against Lexington. That has nothing to do with his phantom no call.
  2. Bolivar has a great team, but I have to pull for Lexington. They ran into a Humboldt team that just wanted it more than they did. Maybe they can turn it around after the loss last week.
  3. This is will be a good game, but I think Lexington wins it. 35-28 LHS
  4. I think you are wrong about that. Lexington looked very talented Friday night, I was really surprised to see how well they played. I think they have a shot to win this region. Bolivar is good, but Lexington has a lot of great talent also.
  5. Prayers from my family to his. I'm going to miss hearing him call in on 96.5 on Fridays. He was a joy to listen to, and there is no doubt that he loved West Tennessee high school sports.
  6. Todd Mayo is transferring to Houston High School. He is the brother of former USC star O.J. Mayo. Todd averaged 24 points per game last year as a sophomore and will certainly be a great addition to Houston. Todd Mayo Todd already has D-1 offers.
  7. The kicker for Lexington is real good also. He's pretty much money from 40 to the extra point.
  8. No doubt that Bolivar will be one of the top teams this year. I think Lexington should be a very good team this year. Everyone is excited about the hiring of Coach Hollingsworth, and he should have some pretty good talent to work with.
  9. Congrats to Coach Hollingsworth. I think its a good hire for Lexington, he should be a good head coach here.
  10. I hadn't heard that name, that is kind of surprising to me.
  11. I heard that they already have 3 canidates
  12. Thanks for all the updates guys. I have 2 sons playing youth baseball this year and unless I see my usual Lexington folks I never know.
  13. You know what? I think you're right. I forgot that Grant left for West Carroll that early. I've done that about 3 times now, I keep thinking he was there in 95 for some reason.
  14. People forget that Roy Grant can coach baseball. He guided Lexington to the #8 ranking in the state 13 years a go. That was in AAA, he got put out by Germantown in the substate tournament. Germantown was the #1 team in the state. Grant is a good baseball coach, I don't care for his football coaching skills, but he can coach baseball.
  15. Manassas 73 University School 39 About 3 minutes left in the game.
  16. Are you serious? I expected Lexington to hit well, but not that well. I've been on these boards long enough to know that you know baseball very well, but did Lexington seriously put 6 out of the Liberty park?
  17. This is a down year for 12AA. For the last 3 years 12AA has had 4 teams that could have made it to state. Bolivar and Liberty made it, but Lexington and McNairy both had teams that would walk in the state tournament if they played in the East. Sycamore had a team that would have made it also. Not going though Memphis is usually not relevant in this district because Bolivar and Liberty used to play and beat the Memphis teams. They also played and beat Haywood.
  18. Thats every year, but guess what. Its been a long time since a team in our district hasn't won the gold ball. Wayne Chism is a sophomore in college, a 12AA team has won the state title since he was a sophomore in high school.
  19. The game should be at Bolivar. which heavily favors the Tigers. Ask any Bolivar fan how they feel about going down to Pulaski. They've had bad luck there..
  20. I don't know P.A., a few years ago DL took Bolivar to the wire. That was the team with Kemp, Chism, Madden, and Rhodes. And BA beat Bolivar like they stole something, and that game was in Jackson. Every now and them Middle TN puts out a team that can dictate how another teams plays, CPA may be that team this year. That being said, I've seen Creekwood and Bolivar play. I don't expect a 20 point blow out, but Bolivar should win this one by 10+.
  21. Bolivar wins this game. Last night was the first night I've seen Creekwood play, but I had seen Harpeth before. Bolivar would have won if Caruthers was there or not. People keep posting that Willie and Wayne are not at Bolivar anymore. Well, theres a long list of star players before Willie and Wayne that aren't there anymore either. Bolivar is still successful. At this point the have a program, not a team. They lost a star player in Brain Lake, gained Wayne Chism, and still repeated as state champions. There is no shortage of talent in Bolivar.
  22. I think some of us Lexington fans fooled ourselves into thinking that we where up there with the Bolivar's and the Liberty's. Now people are looking back at those Bolivar and Liberty teams and realizing that we didn't come close to having the talent those teams had. I thought we could run with them at first, but after we had played both of those teams, I knew better. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  23. I have to admit that I thought the Giants would be blown away in this game. I give NY a lot of credit, they played lights out on D and the offense made plays when they needed it. I'm not a big fan of the Manning family, but as a parent, I'm glad Archie got to see both his boys drive away from the Superbowl in new Cadillacs. I just hate Randy Moss finally got his head back on straight and he came up short. I've always been a Moss fan. He makes some dumb decisions sometimes, but he really does have some good intentions. I think Brady's ankle may have been hurt more than they wanted us to know. He missed throws that are pretty routine for him. Moss was open a few times and Brady just missed him. He was very un-Brady like. Plus he had no tape on the ankle, and I think they done that to throw everybody off and it back fired. Even with a small ankle injury most people put a little tape on there as a precaution because they are easy to re-injure. Most of the time it wouldn't have mattered though. Strahan and company were beating the Pats offensive line like they owed them money.
  24. Leave it up to P.A. to cause trouble. LOL.
  25. LHS is not practicing. My son is 8 and as far as I know Coach Odle is working with kids in his age group during LHS's open facility time. I seriously doubt Dale's mom or dad would make a post like that. I would bet the farm that neither did.
