I don't think McMinn Co. beat Oak Ridge in the regular season; it appeared to me that the referees did. Hopefully, they've been schooled not to make egregious mistakes in the playoffs.

Oak Ridge needs to get points on the board early and keep it going. Never underestimate anybody!

I think he did. David Clary posted on FB this morning that it would be streamed via PrepRadio on YouTube. I didn't try to watch, as I went to the game, but if it was, it will be posted on Monday or so.

I think you can find it on YouTube; search for PrepRadio. They streamed last week's home game.

Please folks, if you come to the game, WEAR YOUR MASK. It is required at all times in the stadium -- even if you're 6' from anyone else. Last night's compliance was only about 50% among the adults, and that could put an end to our season. I know it's hot, and maybe uncomfortable, but cover thy nose and mouth at all times. Please.

We're trying to get set for streaming, maybe by next week. This game won't be streamed, but has been rescheduled for tomorrow night at 7 p.m.

The week-to-week improvement definitely continues, and it showed up in the score last night. Next week will definitely be tougher; the run-up-the-middle gig worked okay on Campbell County, but it won't work with Farragut. However, we're back on home turf next week... RWR!

Without question, the first two losses hurt. That said, I could see a big improvement between weeks 1 and 2; if we've kept that up, tonight's game could be very different. RWR!

Karns, like other Knox Co schools, has terrible seating for visitors. Sevier Co. has a beautiful facility. We had to move to the Beavers' side to be able to actually see the game.

JMS 24 - RMS 0. Jefferson has a good little quarterback who makes accurate passes, along with some pretty good receivers. RMS had a good looking defense when the ball was on the ground, but less effective against the passing game. A significant factor in the lopsided score was the number of fumbles for Robertsville.

35-0 at the end of the 1st quarter... this is gonna be a quick game.

The weather looks messy, which makes it a totally different game. Good luck to the Raiders tonight, if only because their fans have always been nice when we visit -- not the case with Farragut (who could afford to build decent visitor bleachers, but...).

Agreed, all playoff games are big. I'm way excited that we'll be playing at home, but I've been to a number of away playoff games (that we weren't supposed to win) where we came home victorious. "Supposed to win" doesn't mean beans unless we do. One at a time, fellas!

The humor escaped me, but it would be nice to beat a team so good that others compare them to a collegiate squad. Either way, it promises to be a good match to watch. But if anyone can link me to a more complete roster than the one found on PrepXtra, I would appreciate it!

I like to download the team rosters before the game, but can't find one for Maryville that has anything more than name, number, and year. It would be nice to have the position(s) played, and better yet to have height and weight. Does Maryville keep this classified for some reason? And, though Big Ed's is the heart and soul of football tradition here, if you can't get in the door (a distinct possibility), there are several excellent new options within walking distance of the stadium. Razzleberry Ice Cream Lab now serves dinner, as does Dean's Restaurant & Bakery -- both have superb food at attractive prices. Just a block away is the Market House. Tonight is going to be fun -- great weather, two great teams. I'm looking forward to it!

At first blush, it looks like an excellent opportunity for some of the younger Wildcats to get some experience. Depth is a good thing. But, never take anything for granted.

It was a good game, to be sure. I'm glad I didn't realize Powell was undefeated in regular season play since 2009 before the game, but it makes the victory sweeter in hindsight. The Powell kids looked huge, are fast, and were certainly a tough match.

Make that 35-6 at the end of the third!

AMEN -- one game at a time! We don't need any jinxes. That said, the Wildcats have strengthened as the year progressed, and I still think we would have had a good shot at beating Powell if the QB hadn't been injured before the half. I'm looking forward to this game (and there are some good eats in the Athens area).

Rain or no, it's going to be a great game. It's really exciting to have such a good local matchup. Parking is always an issue; the best advice is to get there early, then walk to dinner somewhere nearby (Big Ed's, Brickyard BBQ, the Soup Kitchen, or Razzleberry Ice Cream are all in the immediate area). Glad to see the Wildcat fans holding back on the trash talk. It's bad luck. Clinton is an impressive team, but it's no gimme for either side.

Devilsden, you have every right to feel comforted with a moral victory; Halls was not the marshmellow team that some comments here and elsewhere would indicate. It wasn't a lopsided match at all. Next time, come on out for the game. The crowd was understandably lighter than usual because of the forecast, but all we had was a light sprinkle in the beginning, then cool and dry the rest of the game.

The probability of rain tonight worries me, as OR's passing game has been the point-maker thus far. Still, I hope everyone still comes out for the game -- home and visitors -- and that both sides get through it injury-free. Bring a poncho, and maybe that will be the talisman that wards off the rain.

We're heading over to Powell tonight -- I'm happy with the re-shuffling of schedules so that the away games are still an easy distance, and I think it will help build more interest and attendance at everyone's games. From what I've read, it should be a good match-up.
