  1. I'm not a UC fan or from UC, but I follow football. You may be correct and if you are, go buy yourself a lottery ticket. But after the game, come back in and give us your honest review.
  2. I don't see Coalfield scoring 10 points, but I could be wrong--especially if they pass. No ground game will work very long.
  3. Nashville Christian only had 33 yards of total offense for the game. They are not only an offensive powerhouse, they are also a defensive powerhouse. I believe their closest game this year was 26 points, and that was a victory against a 2A finalist (Trenton-Peabody)...and with their backup quarterback, because the starter was sidelined with an injury for 3 games. Note: both teams are in 14A
  4. UC will repeat and Coalfield will stay with UC in the warmups and that's about it. UC would win 1A and 2A this year.
  5. Surprised by the margin. Milan shot themselves in the foot against CPA and I bailed at halftime. Listening to the game..sounds like utter domination.
  6. Good luck CPA and good season Milan. Way to come back from the early adversary and make a statement. I took off at halftime myself, but the atmosphere was good and everybody was friendly...as usual.
  7. Somehow or another, I thought I heard it was an official who was from Dyersburg??? So you're saying that's not true?? If so, that's good to hear.
  8. The Purple Field should be in near perfect condition tomorrow night. Good luck to both teams. I'm picking UC by 14.
  9. Good luck tomorrow night to both teams. Either way it goes, the West will be well represented.
  10. Good. I was hoping that was just rumor. Since the lawsuit involving MBA and TSSAA, all of those records with the TSSAA are now considered "open" and that could have been kind of embarrassing. When I heard it, I called BS but you never know now a days. Thanks for the clarification and good luck tomorrow night.
  11. Should be a pretty good game tomorrow night, but I heard earlier that Coach Morris had an official removed from the scheduled crew? Any truth to that and why?
  12. They do get a lot of "higher" profile players, but there's a lot of good players that venture out to other areas. I know of 5 girls that play for teams around Nashville/Franklin, a few in Jackson, some in Clarksville, and not so much Memphis anymore. SilverFoxes had players on both of their teams from GC, Jackson, Weakley, Henry, Obion, Chester, and one summer- Dyersburg. I don't think that Coach K is actually a coach, but I believe her husband is. I "think" they have been with the Stars the last 2 or 3 years, but we talked to her and other parents/coaches at Murray & in Franklin this past year. I'm pretty sure they played against the 8th grade Silver Foxes at Franklin this past summer. They were associated with Elite a few years back, because I remember a girl from Dyersburg (Jaliah??) who played for Dyersburg (2011 or 2012?) was either on their team or on the team they were with that day. I don't remember the grade and Elite has numerous teams. That player's name sticks in my head and you probably remember her. Either way, I'm just glad they are opportunities for a lot to continued development. If the North-West would ever put together a multi-grade AAU program, geographically speaking and bring all of those regional players together, I don't think they would be too far behind some of the larger programs. Between Gibson County, Obion County, Dyer County, and Weakley County --- the ball talent is there both boys and girls.
  13. You're a great father. Emotions take over a lot of the time and you react in a way you're later not proud of. I'm not even from that area of the State, but getting an unsportsmanlike or personal foul doesn't qualify anyone of being a thug. Your love is greater than any game he'll ever play in. Ignore the idiots on here.
  14. People can bash Maryville and Alcoa all they want and say they play "cupcakes". That's idiotic...when you are the top of your classification--everybody becomes a "cupcake". Jamborees don't mean a thing and comparing them to other States is really out-there. When it comes down to it, you measure it all in Gold Trophies. Tradition---Coaching----Expectations= Championship Formula
  15. I agree 100%. It'll probably come down to just 1 play. I see this being a close one. I could be wrong, but I'm thinking an extra point or so.
  16. Great sportsmanship by both squads and I'm pulling for Trezevant to get the Gold.
  17. CPA's defense is pretty solid and large....Milan will have the home field, but CPA is a little stronger. CPA 28- Milan 17
  18. Going to be a great game. I'm going with Peabody in the upset. Their 2 losses came against semifinalist and they something going on. Either one will represent the West well.
  19. The top 2 in my mind are set, but I believe this is Greenfield's year to get the top spot. GC is good and are solid in pretty much all areas, but I think Greenfield's team has something to prove. 1. Greenfield 2. Gibson County 3. UC 4. Bradford 5. Peabody 6. Lake County 7. S. Fulton 8. Halls 9. Humboldt Good coaches and good players--but the top 2 have the most players and I think 14A will be represented in Murfreesboro when it's all said and done.
  20. BReview...you sound like AAU Kris?? and I looked up your profile- Coach K...lol I'm fairly familiar with the players you talk about from WV and a few of your players. The PG from WV is going to be good and she's a "natural" point, but she has to grow up fast and you are correct about the turnovers. The game is a little faster up here and there were a lot that thought she'd come up and take over right away, but that's going to take an adjustment period--but I think she'll end up being pretty good pretty soon. She doesn't have Bri's speed or ability, but she's good in getting the ball delivered. The transfer's name is Moore and she can knock them down from outside. Has done it for years and will continue to do so. Not sure why the coach isn't playing her more, and some have raised that question. She has said that whatever her role was to be was what she'd do. At all good programs, it's generally about winning in the end and there is an expectation of that at WV. Flippen was tired, and GC was the 4th full game basically in three days. And 3 of the 4 teams were pressers or the up and down game (South Side, Dyer County, and GC). Diana is a great kid, with a great heart. If she's in your corner, she'll play hard for you. She just had a bad night, but she's going to be fine. She completely changed WV last year with the interior, and as soon as we can develop some flow--she'll be right back there. I have enjoyed watching yours play as well and it was good getting to know you and your family this past summer. Y'all have a good program with a lot of good young girls coming up too. Good luck this season. See ya first week of December...hopefully we'll give you a better game.
  21. I don't see HC being able to rally against Ridgeway...that was an awesome game earlier in the year, but the roadrunners are stout at home. No shame in that game.
  22. This may be a first.....me being wrong for once that is.
