  1. Heritage Darryl Anderson, Placer William Blount, Tim Townsend, two time finalist Alcoa, Cody Blackford Pigeon Forge, Brett Shields, two time finalist Justin Higgins, Knox Central
  2. Tyler Dailey from Greenback should be on the ballot for 1A lineman. He's a biggun. /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" /> He has been dominant on both sides of the ball. It's hard to provide stats to back it up for an offensive and defensive lineman. Just ask any of Greenback's opponents what they think of big #70. By the way, I am in no way related to Tyler or Tyler, himself.
  3. Harriman scored on a fumble return, a kickoff return, and on a run against Greenback's prevent with about :35 left in the game. Harriman had 14 first half yards against Greenback. Not a good game to compare defenses.
  4. Bunkie Vanskiver Greenback QB Passing 94/174 1432 yds. 21 TDs. 4 Int. Rushing 70 att. 496 yds. 9 TDs. How many other players in class 1A can account for 30 TDs?
  5. Actually, the extra point was good. Ask anybody who saw that game or the film. It was over the crossbar.
  6. Grace's Schedule North Greene 0-6 Unaka 0-7 Oakdale 1-5 King's Academy 3-3 Coalfield 2-5 Hampton 4-3 (lost) tonight's opponent Taft 0-5 Earning them a strength of schedule of 320/329
  7. The East Tennessee teams rank right now as follows by Massey Upper Bracket 1. Oneida (region II) 2. Greenback (region II) 3. Harriman (region II) 4. Midway (region II) 5. Cosby (region I) 6. Hampton (region I) 7. Grace (region I) 8. Cloudland (region I) Lower Bracket 1. South Pitt (region III) 2. Trousdale (region IV) 3. Friendship (region IV) 4. Watertown (region IV) 5. Grace Bap (region III) 6. Gordonsville (region IV) 7. Clay County (Region IV) 8. Silverdale (Region III) 9. Lookout Valley (Region III) Based on this it is likely that Region II will sweep Region I The Quarterfinalists will likely be Oneida, Greenback, South Pitt, and Trousdale. Grace Christian should have no argument that they should be in the top two in the upper bracket. They lost to Hampton, who lost to West Greene, who got destroyed by Greenback. Just because you beat teams with losing records by 50 points does not mean you are a great team. Who has grace beat for them to deserve to be ranked 10th in knoxville? Who have they beat that would put them ahead of Greenback, Harriman, or Midway? Do your talking on the field tonight as you play another team who hasn't beat anybody.
  8. Maybe Greenback should move up in the polls... 10 Greenback 42 West Greene 0 West Greene 22 Hampton 16 Hampton 38 6 Grace 29
  9. Region I is 9-20 vs. Region II in the playoffs in the past 5 years. All 9 wins were Hampton. Every team in Region II including Oakdale and Sunbright could have made the playoffs in Region I in each of those years. So, try winning a playoff game before you brag about being there.
  10. Ask Grace how they did without pads on against Greenback in the passing league? I'm sure they are a power team and the passing league is not an indicator of how good they really are. What about Grace's powerhouse schedule? They have played North Greene ranked 326 out of 330 teams in TN, Unaka ranked 323, and Oakdale ranked 317. They play King's Academy this week who is 318. It doesn't get much weaker than that. You can't compare that kind of schedule to Greenback's and Harriman's whom have played Loudon (150) and Kingston (93) respectively. Even Sunbright at 305 and Monterey at 281 would be tough games on the Grace schedule. I think the sports writers need to take a look at who teams like Grace and Cosby play before they rank them in polls over teams like Midway, Oneida, Greenback, Harriman, and Hampton. The "cream will rise to the top", and we will see who the best teams are very soon. My prediction is that Grace will go 9-1 and lose in the first round of the playoffs. They will lose to Hampton and beat the rest of the 300+ ranked teams on their schedule.
  11. Go down to Greenback and ask for Tyler Dailey and Bear Plemons. They will redefine the term "undersized" for you.
  12. So, does Greenback have a better offense than Sevier County? Greenback scored 13 points in less than five minutes and it was their varsity. Cole Lail is not JV. I think Sevier County will take this one easy.

  14. The winner will be first and the loser second barring some strange 3 way tie situation or if Seymour were to lose to Pigeon Forge and Greenback, in which case Greenback would be first and Pigeon Forge second.
