Cloudland did have one win in 2005.

Region I is 9-20 vs. Region II in the playoffs in the past 5 years. All 9 wins were Hampton. Every team in Region II including Oakdale and Sunbright could have made the playoffs in Region I in each of those years. So, try winning a playoff game before you brag about being there.

Ask Grace how they did without pads on against Greenback in the passing league? I'm sure they are a power team and the passing league is not an indicator of how good they really are. What about Grace's powerhouse schedule? They have played North Greene ranked 326 out of 330 teams in TN, Unaka ranked 323, and Oakdale ranked 317. They play King's Academy this week who is 318. It doesn't get much weaker than that. You can't compare that kind of schedule to Greenback's and Harriman's whom have played Loudon (150) and Kingston (93) respectively. Even Sunbright at 305 and Monterey at 281 would be tough games on the Grace schedule. I think the sports writers need to take a look at who teams like Grace and Cosby play before they rank them in polls over teams like Midway, Oneida, Greenback, Harriman, and Hampton. The "cream will rise to the top", and we will see who the best teams are very soon. My prediction is that Grace will go 9-1 and lose in the first round of the playoffs. They will lose to Hampton and beat the rest of the 300+ ranked teams on their schedule.

Go down to Greenback and ask for Tyler Dailey and Bear Plemons. They will redefine the term "undersized" for you.

So, does Greenback have a better offense than Sevier County? Greenback scored 13 points in less than five minutes and it was their varsity. Cole Lail is not JV. I think Sevier County will take this one easy.

The last two years it was Area 1 vs. Area 3 and Area 2 vs. Area 4 in the first round. If this holds true, it would be Seymour vs. East Lit and Notre Dame vs. Area 4 Champion. So who is the Area 4 Champion?

Everyone on this post must be right. Greenback has gotten blown out by slouches. They won't know what to do with a powerful team like Sunbright. I think that this one won't even be close cause Sunbright could easily kill South Pitt or Loudon. Whitehouse Heritage is obviously one of the best teams in the state cause they beat them. Another thing, do you know how bad Greenback was when he took over there? Do you know how bad Vonore was when he took over? I think he has the patience to build a program.

Absolutely not true!!!! Whoever you got your information from is lying. He will be back for a second season at Grace. He and the rest of the coaching staff are excited about the possibility of a much improved season with most starters returning and the kids working hard in the weight room. So, I want to stamp this rumor out right here.

One of the problems with the 10 region brackets was that region champs face each other in the second round. There were some possible medalists that were eliminated in the second round. What do you guys think about a small school state division with the current 47 A/AA teams /Each area has a tournament and sends four state qualifiers. Then the bracket is formulated like before with a 16 man bracket for each weight class. I think they should only place the top 4. The AAA division needs to go back to 8 regions and go back to the same format as before and still place 6 cause there will be 85 teams. Division II needs to do the same thing but only place top 4.
