  1. HAHAHAHAHAaaaaaa!!!!! Yeah....he may have to have some of that government social counseling.
  2. I think this happens in some of the larger schools where the talent level is higher. A two sport player is pressured to choose because there is always someone at his or her heels to take the spot. I've seen major damage done this past year at a particular school in the area with a kid that was a senior that decided to play a sport that wasn't in season at all at the time. The coach held this kid out of games and even to the point of punishment for their decision to play another sport.....keepin mind that the other sport didn't conflict in the least. I'll be willing to bet that if players hadn't have been so plentyful this kid would've played no matter. It hurt the kid and the parents....who had worked hard to help built the program that this coach inherited. Sad story....but it happens all to often.
  3. I drove thru Bolivar Tennessee today......nothing unusual was going on. I think Bolivar will take Creekwood just like they've done everybody else.....get used to it.....good ole west Tennessee basketball. Teach your children in the other two divisions of the state (MIDDLE AND EAST) to RUN and GUN. It will be west Tennessee dominating again in 2A. I haven't even got started on talent @ Dyer County.
  4. If I was a ref....I would tech fans like me that yell at the refs for everything they do....right or wrong. That would clean up the game alot. Most of the time they just stand there and look at you during timeouts and such while we're telling them how stupid and blind they are. No....if they were guilty of abusing power....and while I'm at it....there are some that are, they would tech up anybody that looked at them straight.....and in my opinion would be justified in their actions. Take care of the little things and the rest will be alright.
  5. I think Bolivar has a good chance to win state...or atleast runnerup. They are a good team that knows how to get after it......good ole west Tennessee basketball at it's best. Remember Bolivar.....you have to play one quarter at a time and win them one at a time.
  6. Is Jethro still playin'? Oh wait he's in Beverly.......sorry.
  7. Pearl was roughing up the reporter there at the end a little.......he had his arms around her at the half too.
  8. Congrats to Millington on a good win. Congrats to the Crusaders for a good season.....the first in AAA. To the Crusader seniors....Charles Holt, Jay Greer, Kirby Tritt.....we love you guys and it's been a blessing and a priviledge to watch you guys over the years.
  9. I agree....this one lived up to the hype. You had to know it would be a close one.
  10. I heard somebody else say that today.....I think. Way to go VOLS!!!!!
  11. Glad to have a name with a face. I remember when they brought him out. He did have terrible compression marks. I think he is the one that didn't have any feeling rom the waist down at the time. It was a pitiful sight to see to condition of all those kids as they brought them out. The worst to me was the last one out.....We all thought he was dead. I would like to know his condition...but I didn't know his name. My daughter is having a hard time with this. She still has friends that she can't contact. I know everybody has been accounted for......she just wants to hear from them and help if she can. Life wont be the same after last night. Thankful though.....very thankful!!!!
  12. I didn't think I would see my kids again. I had both of them on the phone at the same time....... as the tornado hit I lost contact with my daughter screaming and crying. Then I lost contact with Josh seconds later. The next few minutes were an eternity.....I can't explain what that feels like to know that you may never see them alive again. Thank God I finally got thru to them....they were alright. My daughter was in the dorm at Union University. I left almost immediately and drove as fast as I could to get to her. We made sure they were safe and them went on to help in the resque effort to dig out the students that were trapped. I don't see how it was possible for those kids to live thru that......simply a miracle.
  13. Newstang.....wasn't it Brayden's dad that got kicked out of that game up in Fulton this past summer.......Dang!!!! that was the funniest thing I've seen in a while.
  14. Yeah you remember right....you did see Josh play for the Blue Devils this past summer. Hopefully the next time you see him play maybe he'll be doing alot better. JCS has been a great experience for Josh and us. JCS is a great school and far exceeds everything that we thought it would be. The staff at JCS.....including Coach Cooper has done everyting they can to make Josh fit in as a student and an athlete......and I as a parent am more than grateful for this. He will have to sit out his Junior year, but thankfully he will get to play in some jv games. Josh has had some problems with his shoulder this past summer and has struggled somewhat at different times to get to the level of play that he desires to be at.....but he seems to be making a full recovery. As far as "wouldn't play at Liberty" We as parents have to do the best we can to see to it that our kids get the best instruction possible and that instruction fits the needs of our kids. We left Liberty because we felt that it would be better for Josh to be in a better baseball program. If he never gets to play in a varsity game again....he is better for being in the JCS athletic program. Not only that, but more importantly because it would be better academicly for him to finish his last two years at a school such as JCS to help improve his chances of getting into a college that has a top flight engineering program, and so far that has proven to be the case. Now can we get back to trashing Lexington Baseball please? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Just joking......I am a graduate of LHS and that should explain everything. 22. Where in the name of &*^%#$^@&^%^$.....have you been?
  23. JCM played Liberty really tough....as I said earlier, they just didn't seem to be able to convert turnovers and foul shots into points. If they had've Liberty would have been in trouble the way they played last night. They are a very quick team.....they can run with anybody....just can't hit their shots. Or atleast they didn't last night. I agree with the match up....would've loved to seen them play. It was also a pleasure getting to see Mrs. Stackens-Crump at the game last night. Me and her may just have a best of 5 from the freethrow line the next time we meet at a game. She's really got the school spirit going at JCM /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> .
  24. Should be a good one......I'm planning to make the trip down to Haywood. I may just bring the voodoo with me........beware Haywood.
