  1. The season is getting closer! Which team is going to rise to the top? Some teams have lost some key players. Some return a lot of players. Last year was a "dog fight" every night. I don't think there is a clear-cut favorite. Who is it going to be?
  2. Hope your right, but TC is really good this year, and Gordonsville is young and had some injuries at key positions. I think the Tigers can make it a ball game though. Good luck Tigers /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  3. Was it Brandon or Joshua Jonston that got injured the other night? Heard something about an MCL or ACL tear? Hopefully just rumors, both are great kids and athletes, and have bright futures.
  4. Well..... I do what i can /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  5. In a game that was under the radar, and did not get alot of publicity on the T, the Gordonsville FCA Tigerettes beat the Smith County FCA Owlettes 37-19. Coach Bob Dillard coached a great game using the jet sweep with Taryn Smith, while Jana Watson and Morgan Dillard came in at QB and had more passing yards than Jonathan Crompton on the whole season. Both teams played a great game. The game was put on by Campus Life, Young Life, each schools FCA group , and First Baptist Church Carthage. Great job to all who were involved.
  6. WHERE did u go to school? I know they taught better grammar than that on the hill, or did you learn that at the Police Academy? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  7. I'm just messin with ya twan /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  8. Sorry MO$$$, I know it probably meant alot to you, to be mentioned in that company is big /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  9. I wasnt calling you the supreme being of football, dont give yourself that much credit. I was talking about something I believe Antwan said earlier this season, just poking fun. Yes I did miss the post, I dont get on here as much as I used to and post because I dont have time and isnt a priority as much but I like getting on here and reading some and making a comment every now and then.
  10. I wouldnt bother arguing with the supreme being of football MO$$$. I believe it was he who said this was SC's most balanced team in awhile or something of that sort. Can't forget about the 04' or 06 team and they both won the region something this team wont do. For SC the season isn't over, but I doubt anyone else in this region will beat York or SC. York probably has the regular season region title this year, but SC has a good team loaded with speed and I think they will be fine and it could go the other way if they meet again. I think the two 4th down conversions for York, one leading for a TD took a little wind out of SC's sails. Yorks defense really tightened up in the 2nd half and SC's balanced offense was not very effective. But they will be well prepared by the coaches to face whomever they play next week if they do play, and will be fine the rest of the season. Good luck to the Owls
  11. Now now Glover, you wouldnt be talking about someone else being annoying or not grown up would you????? lol
  12. Both LA and UHS have good enough teams to probably make it to the Boro, LA definitly. I'd say you will see these teams play about 4 times this season, 2 in regular season and 2 in the postseason. So get used to each other if you are not already
  13. Upperman Bees will give them a run for their money, I'm gonna say they grab it this year
  14. Well, that'O.K. When you look at it on paper, they should be O.K., maybe a top 3 team in District 8A. Friendship will be very good, as will Trousdale. The Tigers, as I said earlier, only lost one player (a big player) from last year's team. They still have Vaden, Malone, Bradford, McCaleb, and Austin (didn't play last year - torn ACL) as the Senior class. The Junior class will see a lot of playing time as well with Whigham, Bennett, and Randolph. Also some Sophs. that played last year in Sanders, Rodriguez, and the addition of a 6'3" power forward Woodmore. They have a solid starting line-up, and depth off the bench with players who saw a lot of playing time due to the injuries and health issues they had last year. We'll see how it goes in a couple of months. Should be exciting. GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Don't have any idea what your talking about. Coach has been there all summer. Had good camps from everything I have heard; and all the players are in place. Only lost one player from last year's team. You would'nt be trying to start any ugly rumors would you Dev?
  16. I like the way you think. GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  17. I think TC lost two players (Williams & Luster), Westmoreland lost several (about 4 or 5 I think), Gordonsville lost 1 (District MVP Josh Williams), FC lost 1 I think as well. Should be a very exciting season in District 8A. GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!!!
  18. They lost one player to a knee injury, and they lost a post player (Malone), broke his wrist the last game of the season at Watertown. So they were not at full strength; but that's the way it goes. They only lost one off of that team so they have a chance to be pretty good again this year. GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. That one you lost did alot for you to. I wouldnt take any stock into all this transfer talk either until I actually see it, but Clay probably will be the team to beat in 7a
  20. Congrats to Coach Apple and good luck in the upcoming season..... Except for two games that is /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> He will do a fine job. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  21. Coach Whitaker would probably do a great job as would Coach Apple. Whitaker was under Melton at LA for a year I believe and under McCoin at LA for a couple years to I believe. And I'm pretty sure Bobby McWilliams or someone like him wont be knocking on the door. With really no teaching positions open as I have been told, it will probably be someone in house to get the job unless neither of the two assistants from last year realy dont want to do it. I dont believe you have to worry about seeing me there.... Still got a year of school left and I'm probably not allowed back over after crossing to G-ville lol, just kidding. Whats wrong with me???? huh???? lol
  22. Nope, but I appreciate the thought Termite. Just need one more year. I'd like to see coach Apple take the job, he would be a good tough coach. But new baby and all I could understand not wanting to do it. Good luck to SC in finding someone!
  23. Maybe Coach Apple will take the job.
  24. Is the Head Coach going to be there to welcome everyone?
  25. Some schools around the middle Tennessee area are letting out early if they werent cancelled so I would say there is a chance it couldg et a little slippery out there. I dont have a degree in meteorology either but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Safe travels to everyone tonight.
