  1. Agreed! Not sure it will be more closely contested than Brentwood-Riverdale or Ravenwood-Oak Ridge but this promises to be one of the best. One thing we know for sure, both Gold and Silver balls will reside in the two best regions in the state.
  2. So what the heck does that have to do with the 2008 Championship game and, by the way, where is R'dale? Livin' in the past.
  3. Gonna be another Middle TN 5A final again this year.
  4. Keep on hoping. Four different teams have represented Region 6 in the 5A final during five of the past six years. Franklin will add another year to this statistic.
  5. And I guess there's the possibility of 4th place Ravenwood having to travel to play 1st place Gallatin. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
  6. Unlike the games of the past, this year it won't be close. FHS will score frequently with their balanced attack. Bruins just don't have enough offense to threaten in this game. This could be ugly early on.
  7. Here's a flash for a 4 time poster...your question is as relevant as asking which team won the regular season game last year. And before you start criticizing other people's spelling and grammar, take a look at "answer me that". To use your own words, is that a product of an "intelligent individual or a good education"?
  8. How did Brentwood Academy get on your 5A list? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
  9. Yup, it sure was a BIGTIME win. Wonder where miamithugsfan is now? Kinda quiet. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  10. Ravenwood shuts out Hendersonville in sectionals and TN High doesn't make it to Region finals.
  11. The Tennessean said that Franklin, as regular season winner, would join Ravenwood, tournament winner, in the Regional playoffs. Has this always been the case? I thought that the second place team in the district tourney went to Regionals or has it almost always been that the regular season winner was one of the top two tournament teams?
  12. Another idiot flame from phillyfan. By the way, what's a poster cob?
  13. Another idiot flame from phillyfan. By the way, what's a poster cob? Congrats to the cougars for a fine win. Hope you get Kelly back soon. He'll be needed against the rebels.
  14. So what does your post have to do with the topic? The only thing you did here was come in a flame a poster. Not sure what your agenda is but you really sound like a little kid who has a need to get the last word into a playground argument. You've heard them...yeah...oh yeah...yeah...oh yeah...etc. Got something to add to the topic, go for it. I think this is about Ravenwood and Centennial...which should be a very good game tonight.
  15. Do you just make this stuff up? By the way, I asked once and didn't get an answer...isn't there a D12 thread somewhere on this board?
  16. Seems fitting that "Ballin'" is off this thread after the recent waxings McGavock has taken. Hasn't posted in almost three weeks and since the loss to Stratford, he probably won't be back for a while. By the way, does anyone know why there isn't a 12AAA thread for Ballin' to spend his time on?
  17. Thanks for the original post, Golfendude. Just changed mine to a plus member. Probably should have done it some time ago.
  18. Where the heck is Union City and why is it called "union" city?
  19. Can McGavock battle the lower or upper tier teams? White's Creek and Lavergne in the same week, wow!
  20. Not sure I understand the reference to Ravenwood in this post but you may have meant McGavock. Now that was a waxing being soundly beaten by a team that up until then hadn't won a game. Ouch! /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />
  21. Just in case you didn't buy what the others said right after your post...I was also at the game sitting on the Smyrna side (only because that's where the seats were...have no dog in that hunt)...watching that play through binoculars and had a clear look...the receiver came down out of bounds. First foot was out then second foot even further out. Sorry. Also watched the last onside kick through binoculars...Smyrna receiver dropped the ball just before hitting the ground but I couldn't tell who recovered because of the sheer number of bodies that dove on top of the ball. The official that made the call that the ball was dead was on the Bearden side of the play and there was no way he could have seen the fumble. The fact is that Bearden lost primarily because their QB couldn't hit his receivers until midway through the fourth quarter. #9 was overthrowing open receivers all night or, in one case, overthrew a receiver who was being double covered and totally missed seeing a wide open receiver that was running about 20 yards to the left and had no one anywhere near him. Even one of the Smyrna DBs (who was about 15 yards away) pointed to the open receiver at the end of the play as if to ask who was supposed to be covering that guy. These two defenses were both exceptional all night. Wilks made a couple of terrific catches in traffic that really showcased his talent.
  22. Yes, but Ravenwood had no championship experience when they beat Oak Ridge the year before. You see, it is possible for the inexperienced team to win it all. It's going to happen again next weekend.
  23. Saw Indy against Franklin and Smyrna against Bearden. Indy takes this one by 10 although it won't be decided until the 4Q.
