  1. Baylor's Eady just won 5th place from MBA's Davidson in 103's.
  2. Thanks for the updates...if you can please keep it coming.
  3. BBB, you do the best job of anyone in the state covering and writing about wrestling. How anyone could find something to pick out in you article and blast it is amazing....you go all out on getting traditions, legacys, etc to make you articles come to life. I'll bet the other wrestlers parents, uncles, etc that got a mention...and that goes for the wrestler too....are proud of the mention. Neat that you even go the extra mile to get coaches to give out that extra information for your articles....I guess if he is mad then he needs to talk to his coach? Whatever. Thanks for always doing a great job!
  4. This is very tough for Cole, his family and Baylor. My thoughts go out to Cole. BB's article says it all....Baylor will lose 24 points right off the bat.
  5. I just read in the paper that since Baylor is not replacing Cole with another wrestler....it will cost the Red Raiders 24 points. This is a tough break.
  6. I think you have mentioned a few times that Spring Fling rotates. Since it finally left Memphis (several events were held across the state line...in Miss I think) it has been in Murfreesboro. The event does not rotate. Yes they may vote on it from time to time...but it will stay in Murfreesboro....no rotating here.
  7. My first day on the soccer boards in a while....I guess no one from D2 has started talking yet. Coniglio.....I read about you in the Chattanooga Times. Congratulations on signing with Xavier....that is awesome.
  8. Huge Red Raider win.....great effort guys! Go Baylor!
  9. Baylor advances by winning 68-12 over MUS. Don't have any details.
  10. Very sad to see someone hide behind a "name" and slander a young man and a great school. It is a sign of the times I suppose to speak cowardly about things you really have no information on.
  11. Thanks for the update....knew the Red won and wish I had been there. Go Baylor!
  12. Congratulations to Baylor on a fantasic tournament win. Great tournament.
  13. I could not agree with you more. I was so depressed I did not get online until tonight....who would have thought that Baylor and ND would both go out in the semis. Both had great seasons but this was certainly not how we all saw it ending. Very hard for the seniors of these teams....but they have much to be proud of.
  14. Obviously from Baylor's standpoint....we are very disappointed. But to go 17-1-1 on the year the team should be proud. It just did not end like we wanted it to go. But Father Ryan is to be congratulated on a great win over Baylor and for a great win today for the championship. Congratulations.
  15. Baylor 1 Father Ryan 0 Briarcrest over JP 11 in OT I would expect both to be close and highly competitive games. Good luck and Go Baylor!
  16. Fantastic job Baylor! Golf and cross country has brought home the trophies this year. Your hard work paid off and we are proud of you..Go Red Raiders!
  17. Great matchups. Can't believe we are down to just 4 teams now.
  18. You are right.....it could not be a better day across the state for fall weather. I am looking forward to our game today...and to seeing the results from the east, west and middle games. I expect alot of close scores today. Good luck!
  19. ON CCS's large field or ND's field it seems the results were the same....it sounded like frustration on the part of the CCS coach and I wonder if he wishes he had not said it to the press. Obviously the ND field has been a topic for years and I am sure that they would like a different situation. DonCChatt I have been a quite a few games at ND over the years and have always enjoyed the announcer. I believe he is a grandfather of a former player? I believe this is the only place I have ever heard an official announcer of plays, players, etc. Does a great job. Unless one of the businesses, churches sell to ND....much like the businesses the McCallie has bought up to expand...there is not alot that can be done. Again, I suspect alot of frustration on the CCS's coaches part.
  20. Wow. I just read about this game on the chattanoogan.com. What a thrilling finish for Boyd and a heartbreaker for Silverdale. Silverdale was up 2-0 with 4 minutes left in the game. Boyd scored 2 quick goals to send it into OT and won in OT. Congratulations to Boyd for not giving up with just minutes left. My heart goes out to Silverdale to lose that way. But kudos to them being just a 2nd year program...and congrats to Boyd.
  21. Big Owl you are right. Sam Williams is a junior at Baylor and is an incredible runner. Coach T I hope you will consider Sam Williams. Through 8 games now Sam has 1350 yards and this has been against some of the best teams. MBA, BA, BGA and Knox Catholic to name a few. Baylor has not had a good year at all and that really makes it all the more impressive for Williams. Teams are keying on Sam almost every down and he continues to pile up the yards. He did not even play football last year....Sam will really be one to follow next year but he deserves serious consideration this year for honors.
  22. Congratulations to GPS. They defeated Knox Webb 4-1 Friday night in substate and will travel to Baylor next Tuesday night to determine seeding. Looking forward to another battle between these longtime rivals....glad that both will move on to the next round.
  23. The Baylor boys and girls golf teams pulled away from the field today to both win D2 state championships. Baylor finished 1st followed by MUS. McCallie finished 8 strokes back for 3rd place. Ryan Thornton of Baylor and Zack Olsen of MUS were tied at the top of the leaderboard bringing on extra holes to determine the individual championship. Olsen won the individual championship with a par. The Baylor girls finished 1st. GPS and St Agnes came in tied for 2nd place 16 shots back. Sofia Hoglund of Baylor won the individual championship followed by fellow teammate Morgan McQuary in 2nd place. Congratulations Baylor....you put it together when it counted most!
  24. Kamesha Woodfine and Cydney Parkes both had unassisted goals in the 2nd half for the win. Kamesha's came just a minute or two after the 2nd half started. Must have had a good halftime talk. Taylor Davidson had her 11th shutout and the Baylor "D" did their part in that as well. I understand that the McMinn Co game Thursday night was cancelled so this is it for our regular season. Red Raiders go into playoffs 14-0-1. I can't believe how fast this season is going!
