The Chattanooga paper seems to feel Tennessee Temple will be the 1A team to beat around Chattanooga, ahead of South Pittsburg.

I believe Trousdale County will be in for a surprise to find 1A football has changed dramaticaly. All these youth football kids have been filtering up and are now in high school.

Coalfield will be one of the top Class A teams in East Tennessee. Brandon Davis, Chris Coker and Dustin Carroll will lead the Jackets.

Indian, I disagree with the paper. Temple will be a good team for a first year entry, but I would be somewhat shocked if Pittsburg didn't win out in the region.

I know a little more about this than you might think. Hampton will not be overwhelmed by anyone in 1a. Get back with me at the end of the season. Don,t get me wrong ,I know Trousdale is the favorite,but trust me ,Hampton will make some noise.

Trousdale has a very good qb. He is real thick and he can run. I think Moore C. will make it to the playoffs if they run the veer the way it should be ran. Moore C. has a very good Offensive. They are all strong and quick. I'm anxious to see what happens this year.

Teams dropping back to 1a from a higher level generally means a loss of student population, I don't recall a change in the cut off between A and AA but for the privates getting the multiplier . Does that mean that these schools really aren't performing up to the standards and students are going elsewhere? As for Trousdale County, I have seen that steam roller in 1a before and they were impressive. One question though is why did they drop all the way to 1a when they were playing up in 3a from 2a? Logic would about dictate that they play one level up if they qualified for 1a to 2a.

That's easy. No more CPA, DCA, Boyd. The reason they didn't stop at 2a when they went to 3a to get away from CPA was Goodpasture and Libscomb
