Who won the 12u state tournament in Lynchburg last weekend. And what teams got bids to the nationals? ;)

I think it went this way...Not sure

1st. Memphis Stallions

2nd. Memphis Bellevue

3rd. Antioch Ballerz

4th. Knoxville Elite

5th. Nashville Nets

6th Young Vols

7th Clarksville Magic

8th TN Thunder

Top 6 teams went to Nationals because both Memphis teams had automatics from last year.

So that means, every team that played in that tournament will go on to the Nationals?  You said the Memphis already had automatic bids from last year therefore, the other 6 teams will go because you stated the top 6 will go.

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding but I meant the top 6 from the list I listed previously leaving out Magic/Thunder for Nationals. So 6 teams out of 8 because the two memphis teams finished 1 and 2 then they took the four after them or the "other 4" since they already had bids. I'm thinking 7 teams could go because TN Elite had a D2 Bid from last year so who knows.

You left off the Memphis Stallions which was in Pool B with the Magic, Ballerz, and Vols...The Stallions finished Top 5 last year as 5th graders.

There were six bids open because the Bellevue War Eagles finished 8th and the Stallions finished 13th in Nationals last year in 11u. Since they finished 1 and 2 that left 3rd-6th with bids to D-1. After seeing both teams play I would have to say that the Stallions are the better team and will most likely do better in Nationals. I do have to give alot of credit to the War Eagles for being one of the best coached and well mannered teams. I can't say that for some of the others. I will not list any teams or coaches, but some of them do not need to be coaching kids.

    • Hope the catcher on baseball team come back out and play's football . He didn't play last year if I remember but I don't remember much after that wreck anyways.. But he did play his freshman and soph years and I thought was a very good player. He's put on some size now, so I'm hoping he's thinking about playing again..
    • Pirates are young this year.  Gordy can sleep on them.
    • They’ll get it worked out eventually.Farragut is too good of a program to be down for long. As an OR fan, I can’t really say I’m too distraught about it though.
    • I didn’t even see that until you said something, but I don’t think it’s that bad. Yes, the coaches can’t get along with each other. But I don’t think they’re openly taking shots at each other right in front of the parents. If they are, that’s pitiful though, that’s really pitiful. I sure hope they’re not, but yeah, I’ve heard the same thing from players over at Farragut getting fed up, and I feel as though what the coaching staff has been trying to keep under the prying eyes of the parents is now out on full display.
    • and there is definitely a reason for that—more than just Catholic recruiting.
