  1. BC/DF never mentioned 6 yrs ago. He stated along time ago. Ice Cream Man mentioned 6 yrs ago and I am pretty sure that was just picking a number out of the air. I doubt he or anyone else would have imagined someone trying to bring up a supposed recruiting issue from a CPA dad from 2003/04.
  2. kbrks, Using devil fanatic/UCsportsfan's supposed recruitment of his son should not be used as part of your review of "architecture" of the current staff at CPA. You were the coach when this supposedly happened. Just stating a fact.
  3. The difference is I "heard" it from him. Just didn't think our coaches would want injury status posted on here. Also it is not a "fact" when you here it from students.
  4. I don't know if he will play or not. I do know you can't listen to everything high school kids say. I do know he is not scheduled for surgery and he does not play baseball and never has for CPA. I have heard that he is playing basketball this year. CPA4Ever you should never "assume" anything especially when coming from high school kids.He is a very tough kid so you never know.
  5. Grundy ain't MBA,BGA or Maplewood. I would love to see Grundy win but can't see it happening.
  6. Don't know much about Grundy. P.C. is big and fast. The defense has no weakness. Will be a long night for Grundy.
  7. That is correct. Only the top 2 in each district qualify for the playoffs. Classification does not matter. If CPA happens to beat Pearl Cohn and East Lit. but loses their other games and ends up 4-6 they probably would not make the playoffs. That makes these first 2 wins really important. I do think it is a shame that a win against a out of state team is just as important as a district win. The first thing they look at for wildcard slots is overall record. The quality of competition means nothing.
  8. CPA's website says the game starts at 7:00. I would never want to question your infinite knowledge, but CPA and Fort Campbell websites both show game time to be 7:30. Maybe you are just trying to get the CPA fans to be on time?
  9. 7:30 If you are going they said you need to allow an extra 30 minutes to get through the security gate at the base.
  10. This could be a shoot out. Don't know much about Fort Campbell except they have won back to back State Championships. Both teams appear to be able to score a lot of points. Should be an exciting game.
  11. Does anybody else wish Coach Fulmer and Coach Clawson would settle their offensive opinions face to face instead of on CoachT?
  12. Actually CPA does not have all their players healthy. They have two kids that had season ending injuries before the season ever started and lost another for the year in the second game. All three played in the offensive backfield. Everybody else that had injuries has returned and are healthy.
  13. When is your birthday and where do you live?
  14. When the multiplier first came out there was a rule that schools could not be forced up more than one classification. Does this still apply?
  15. This could be one of those games where the last one with the ball wins. I'll take CPA by 4.
  16. I am just thankful that two good teams can schedule each other that are outside of their district and not be penalized in the tournament. This is what high school sports should be like. Games like this will help both schools later in the year, unlike 2A in football. Should be a great game.
  17. I have read but not studied others posts that try to explain the playoff format in 2A. Could CPA's overall record hurt them as far as seeding or what bracket they will be placed in? Would a number 1 seed from one district with an undefeated record be seeded higher than a number 1 seed that has multipule losses from another district? Could this effect playing at home vs. away?
  18. I agree with moose in thinking this will be closer than most think. The biggest concern for CPA will be dealing with the size of Father Ryan's offensive line. Those guys are huge. Should be a great high school game.
  19. CPA up 34-32 as the 4th starts.
  20. It sounds like Camden has great fan support as well as a great team. C.P.A. has always had great fan support even for away games. This leads me to ask about seating as a whole and capacity for the visitors. Looking foward to the trip up and some great High School football.
  21. I hate to correct robjim but Trent is a freshman.
  22. There were only 4 teams. They played a round robin format with the Bearcats going undefeated and the 12U War Eagles only losing to the Bearcats. The other two teams were not in the same league. The amazing thing is the 12U War Eagles had the Bearcats down going into the 4th quarter. The Bearcats have great talent and shouldn't have such hard time. It seemed like 1 or 2 of the players were more concerned with their stats instead of playing as a team. If they can learn to play team ball they will be hard to beat.
  23. There were six bids open because the Bellevue War Eagles finished 8th and the Stallions finished 13th in Nationals last year in 11u. Since they finished 1 and 2 that left 3rd-6th with bids to D-1. After seeing both teams play I would have to say that the Stallions are the better team and will most likely do better in Nationals. I do have to give alot of credit to the War Eagles for being one of the best coached and well mannered teams. I can't say that for some of the others. I will not list any teams or coaches, but some of them do not need to be coaching kids.
  24. West 12u: 1. Stallions 2.War Eagles
