donttalkjustplay
Who all is moving to DI from DII? And are there any new club teams starting next year? 825674389[/snapback] I think Ravenwood High is the only D2 team moving up to D1 next year. Assuming we'd even the number of teams in both divisions we will probably be in the eastern division with mccallie, mba, webb, and farragut... but thats just an assumption. _________________ "How would you play today if you couldn't play tomorrow?" StraightUpLaxin
Are there a lot of good players from ravenwood returning?
fromthetop2
Just about the entire team returns. Congratulations Raptors on your first ever championship. There will be an issue floated at the next meeting where the champion of DII, or the top two teams in DII, move up to DI and the bottom two teams in DI move down to DII. This would be similar to how the European Soccer Leagues do it. It would keep the loaded teams from staying at a lower level year after year, and would allow the lesser lights of DI to play games against similar competition with some chance for success. Brouha25
Ravenwood will graduate 2 this year and 3-5 next year. Ravenwood's team is about 75% sophomores. The starting line up is about 80% - 85% sophomores.

laxmidi65
Yeah, thats definetly pretty impressive how young that talent is. I know that St. Benedict High School in Memphis is going to have a new team starting up in DII next year. Don't know what kind of support they have there, but they are starting up a team. brentwood29
No public school can have it school sanctioned unless TSSAA sanctions it. You can have a lot of support but no sanction
