jc1
JC, the Cagle brothers? Did you ever see those guys play? All good guys, but not on this list. Collins brothers 2 all staters, 2 all americans Jennings brothers & nephew 3 all staters Quarles bothers 2 all staters ( I think) Harrell brothers (both should have been all staters) maybe most "productive" brothers in JCHS history. They WERE the team for a couple of years. Had they been on one great teams, they would have been all americans. 825706450 The Cagle brothers both were all-state and signed to play in college. Furman/Carson Newman Was not Ryan Collins all-state also. I know the the Harrell brothers were good Kevin was all-state and they were on Great Jeff Co. Teams, But to say All-Americans? You also have the three Riley Brothers. Edited July 28, 2005 by jc1

runtheball
Greg,Chris,Jeff, and Brad Gaines. All four brothers made all-city in Nashville at Dupont H.S. Greg played at U.T. then played 10 years in the N.F.L. Chris played at Vanderbilt Making All-American. Jeff did not go to college. Brad was a starter at Vanderbilt. Not bad . NONO21
I definitely second that comment that the elrod brothers are one of the best combos. Burton Elrod stepped in and started as a sophomore in 2002 and guided the team to a state championship. He was one of the best quarterbacks I have ever seen in high school ball. He was virtually unable to be tackled in the open field. Good luck to him as he is furthering his career at Samford University as a receiver. Also his younger brother Matt Elrod stepped in as a sophomore and started some at running back and some at linebacker last year. He is built and has the mindset to be a great linebacker but also is proving himself more and more as a running back. Matt has a little bit more size than his older brother but might not be as quick. I believe Matt has the potential to go on to the next level as his brother did if he keeps up the hard work. Good luck to Matt and the Lipscomb Mustangs this year to keep the wins rolling. HHSnumber1fan
Adam & Josh Conatser are ranked #1 and #2 on the all-time tackles list at Harpeth so I'll put them on the list. 825691470 They were very good but mathew and jason tant were probably the better duo.
