Tennessee/Georgia allstar game

When is the SE Tennessee/ N Georgia allstar game gonna be played?

Does anyone know the roster for Tennessee?

Before anyone starts complaining, like last year on here and this year on the football thread, no, it's not a group of the best from throughout Tennessee. It's Southeast Tennessee, probably mainly Hamilton County, just seniors. Even though a lot of the best players won't be playing because of their grade, there's still enough seniors around to put out a strong all-star team. I believe the game is June 23, and I'm told last year the roster wasn't set until just 3 or 4 days before the game.

Get over yourselves people...there were some great seniors this year who deserve to be on an ALLSTAR team just like there were last year, just like there will be every year.

Sure would be nice to see a game between Southeast TN vs Middle TN. instead of playing the NW Ga team. Keep it in the STATE!

I Agree......I wish they would have like a tournament of some sort......Teams From Northeast TN, Southeast TN,Middle TN, Northwest TN, Southwest TN.....I think they should have something like that.......

It's put together by a cable sports show that's shown around Chattanooga and NW Georgia. Has nothing to do with any other part of the state.

It's a local cable program and the girls are from Tennessee and Georgia so why does it need to be so specific? What is the problem? Does someone feel like they are being left out? Call Stump Martin and maybe he will be glad to expand on it. He does the same thing for our local football and baseball teams. I'm sure he would love to "network" into other areas.

Not just Hamilton Co.

 

My daughter played on it last year, as did our catcher. Both from Cumberland Co. This is the only all-star team they were eligible to play on and they both kicked butt in both games. A Sequatchie HS girl played on it last year as well, as did other counties. Best looking team I had seen play anywhere, including travel ball. The outfielders ran like gazelles, having played center field for their schools. The infielders had hoovers for gloves and cannons for arms. Both games were great to watch if you are a fastpitch fan.

 

Oh, and to answer the question, it is usually played at Frost Stadium. It has been played there for the past few years anyway.

 

Let there be a Northwest Tennessee area all-star team, let them play SW Virgina and let the game be called the TN vs VA all-star game, or another other part of the state. Does it really matter? There are enough talented ball players to have several.
