Preseason TOP 25

I see that Lake Co. is getting no love from the 1A ranks but that is ok they will prove themselves on Friday night, but I figured a team that was 8-3 last year and returning 21 of 22 starters on offense and Defense could at least crack the top 25 teams in their classification!! I'll list my top 25 as this

oops forgot them hard to remember everyone while making a list this long, I would have to put them in at @ 5- 10 on the list...guess I'll have to drop PC out after all

2. Brentwood (always a good team, lost some key players though)

3.MUS (lost park,lawhorn, and alber, but still rank high)

4.Briarcrest (need some lineman)

5.Catholic ( have talent, lost Mcfadden though)

6.Baylor (didn't lost too much, good team)

7.Webb (lose Mitchell and FB, but look good on rising seniors)

8.Father Ryan (not a very good team in 04', but looks like they have rising talent)

9. Christian Brothers (lost some players but still have some skill)

10. McCallie (lost their monster TE's and other starters)

11. ECS(lost simmons and hill, but could fair decent)

12. PJP II (lost bagwell at QB, not sure how they will do)

13. Notre Dame (return some quality starters)

14. Bishop Byrne (lost talent, but will replace it)

15. FACS (lost one starter)

16. BGA (hopefully have a better year?)

17. Harding (lost a ton of talent)

18. Davidson Aca. (lost Coffee and Major)

19. St. benedict (pretty much lost their whole team)

20. SBEC ( bringing back a good team)

21. rosemark (lost a very good QB)

22. St. Georges (who knows, may get an upset)

23. Memphis Catholic ( used to be city champs...30 years ago)

24. St. Andrews (no idea who they are)

Knoxville Catholic is no longer in DII. They are in DI 3a.

I was wondering if anyone was going to list Lake Co..I saw that a couple people had West Carrol at #9.. West Carrol was losing to Lake Co last year with about a minute to play in the game and was facing a 4th and 7 on about the 20 yard line ,only to see the quarterback roll around the left end to score and give West Carrol a 1 point win..With Lake Co having 21 starters back I would have to put them in the top 10 ..Plus,I thought West Carrol lost a lot,including their entire backfield.

And besides that, how the ************** do ever place Catholic (no matter what league they're in or planet they're in) ahead of McCallie, CBHS and Baylor? That is one serious display of ignorance! Catholic's efforts against McCallie and Baylor were always ugly and uglier.

Catholic is pretty good. They haven't played Baylor or McCallie in 3 years. I don't know if they are better...but they could compete well against either.

Wartburg? A little bit of a questionable call there, considering most people are predicting them to finish last in Region 2AA. And why do you have 5 teams from one region (2AA) in your top 25 when only 4 even make playoffs. A team that misses the playoffs is not going to get much respect as a top 25 team.

you must not have been @ the scrim between Alcoa vs. Knox Central. Otherwise there wouldn't be any doubt about placing Alcoa above Knox Central. Maryville is the best team in E. TN anyway, not Alcoa OR Knox Central.

Yea i was at the Central VS. Alcoa Scrimmage i was on the Feildbut Central was also missing 3 Starters
