Alcoa vs. Huntingdon

This is all well and good guys, but I think since you're all laying accolades on the two coaches involved, that those two coaches have probably gone out and worked on their above mentioned problems...a lot. so that's a wash...

So, that being said, and those problems PROBABLY are fixed, it's probably the same outcome...in scoring difference anyway. Might be 14-7 this time (doubtful), but the margin of victory would be roughly the same no mater the score and Alcoa still wins.

I thought I watched that game...maybe I'm wrong, but the only thing I saw about the stangs that impressed was that one HUGE freshman. If you wanna beat Alcoa, learn to throw...downfield...a lot.

Unless Huntington got Brett Favre to play QB this year, then they have no chance. Huntington is one of the worst throwing teams I have ever seen. The only way Alcoa can be beat is if a team's QB gets really hot and throws all over them because the secondary is Alcoa's ONLY weakness. I think Alcoa by more than last year because Alcoa didnt lose anybody really and the team chemistry will be even better, and this will transfer into more big play, first downs, touchdowns, and defensive stops. Also, all of Alcos's players will be even faster and stronger because Coach Reid's summer workouts are great.

"Very true, and an ego like that could be just enough distraction to get them beat by a good west tennessee team playing in a district like 7aa. take your pick from about 2 or 3 that could do it."

"please too much ego"

Untill one of these teams beats us, then you can keep taking the back seat to us. How can you say we have to much ego, my last post was only facts, our only weakness is the secondary. If you can find another weakness then please enlighten me.

Rebel Nation.....Only 54 more days untill the most anticipated game of the year. I cant wait.

    • Hope the catcher on baseball team come back out and play's football . He didn't play last year if I remember but I don't remember much after that wreck anyways.. But he did play his freshman and soph years and I thought was a very good player. He's put on some size now, so I'm hoping he's thinking about playing again..
    • Pirates are young this year.  Gordy can sleep on them.
    • They’ll get it worked out eventually.Farragut is too good of a program to be down for long. As an OR fan, I can’t really say I’m too distraught about it though.
    • I didn’t even see that until you said something, but I don’t think it’s that bad. Yes, the coaches can’t get along with each other. But I don’t think they’re openly taking shots at each other right in front of the parents. If they are, that’s pitiful though, that’s really pitiful. I sure hope they’re not, but yeah, I’ve heard the same thing from players over at Farragut getting fed up, and I feel as though what the coaching staff has been trying to keep under the prying eyes of the parents is now out on full display.
    • and there is definitely a reason for that—more than just Catholic recruiting.
