CAK got rocked tonight.  Harb just could not connect with his receivers all night long.  Dustin Lindsey also dominated on the offensive side.  CAK just couldn't match up to Lindsey on defense, although they held off Warren pretty well.

Yeah, I'll second that. By the way, does anyone know why Deron Logan doesn't play more for CAK? The only times I remember seeing him in there he made three tackles in a row on defense and then he scored a touchdown late. It seems like he should be in there more often.

How are you going to get on an Alcoa fan when your starting QB is talking crap in tne newspaper??  I mean CAK is already heavily over-matched against a team that is going to come out this week with something to prove.  Talking crap in the paper about a defending state champ when you havent proved a singe thing in high school football is very very stupid.  Every football player in the school had a copy of the paper this morning reading it.  HAHA I guess learing from experience is the best avenue.  I bet the rest of CAK's players were cussing their QB whenever they saw that in the paper this morning because they knew that it will translate into a even worse beating.  Alcoa wins easily in a tune up for Fulton.

You didn't read the same article I did.  The entire CAK team has nothing but respect for the Alcoa team.  Like someone else said, Harb just showed confidence in his team - not criticizing or talking crap about Alcoa.  As for why Logan doesn't play more, it is probably because he was only in practice for about two weeks before school started and is still learning.  He is a great asset to the team and will really help them.

I agree with you, shnikens. Deron is a great player and he should be seeing more time. Even though he is a second string running back (i think), he should get in at other positions and play more.

You do not say things like that in the paper because its disrespectful, espically when you havent proven a dang thing in high school football. You say something like that and it ends up hung up all over the locker room and then the team comes out with a vengence and you get beat 56-7.

I thought CAK's offense was suppose to be so goooood. I guess against a real football team(Not little 1A schools) the offense cant produce. It will be a long year for CAK in 2-2A.

Thanks CAK for volunteering for a tune up for us for next week against Fulton.

Once again, the insignificant mind of a 5th grader ruins the sportsmanship showed by both teams. If showing some confidence and thinking that your team always has a chance is disrespectful, then lets throw Harb in jail. While I played, i competed against some of the top teams in the state in Single A football. Never once did i think we were going to get beat, neither did the rest of my team for that matter. I guess if Lindsey or Warren(both of whom ive met and respect highly) would have said that they thought they could beat Maryville, would that have been disrespectful in your eyes? Exactly. I saw on one specific occassion where Warren knocked down Harb after the ball was thrown, helped him up and smacked him on the helmet. I saw the same thing from Sykes. Its a shame that these boys can show some respect to their opponents but all you do is run your mouth and make your school and the rest of the fans look bad. Ive said it once, ill say it again, football is a man's game and thats exactly why you sit in the stands.
