After a good showing at Bristol and bad luck for some other teams here he is. Does he have what it takes to stay there this year?

Hasn't been very good at Michigan this season and you know that California is a lot like MIS. His car at the first night race in Richmond was terrible if you remember. It's not an automatic yet boys thumb

Gordon will have to be near perfect to hold on with several guys right on his tail!

In all honesty the guys I see falling are Ryan Newman and Carl Edwards. I think Gordon will get a solid finish at California then come back with a vengence at Richmond. Edwards is a rookie and like Kahne last year the pressure may get to him. Ryan is a guy who has been going the wrong way lately and he better get any sort of retaliating on Jarrett out of his head or he will be done. Kenseth had the dominant car at Michigan (which is a lot like California). His championship experience gets him in the show. The 10th guy to get in is up in the air for me. Newman, Edwards, McMurray, Jarrett, Sadler, Harvick, and Earnhardt Jr. all dont look like big performers to me right now.

As much as alot of people want it, Gordon will never be in the same class as Earnhardt!

 

Earnhardt and Petty are in a class of there own!

thanks Gordon, atleast now i wont have to catch heck from all my buddys about Earnhardt Jr not making the chase.

 

i bet Nascar is hating this....the 2 most popular drivers both missed the chase for the cup, alot of crappy ratings coming soon!

No Dale Jr, Jeff Gordon, Kasey Kahne, Kevin Harvick, Michael Waltrip, Elliott Sadler, Dale Jarrett, Bobby Labonte, Jamie McMurray, Sterling Marlin, or Kyle Petty anywhere near to be found when it comes time to hand out the awards in New York as the end of the year.
