timbdp
The Cubs traded Matt Lawton to the Yankees for a minor league pitcher.
Fuggly63
Maybe next year that will benefit one of the two teams. No playoffs for either this year.
Solomon
Maybe next year that will benefit one of the two teams. No playoffs for either this year. 825731528[/snapback] I disagree. Yanks are going to pull this off somehow. I'm starting to wonder if Boston might be the one left out....... I really could care less. I know one of the two has to, I just hope both don't. I can't handle a third straight year of Yanks/Sox 24/7 on sports talk radio. Look at it this way, at least the Cubs no longer are closer to last than they are to second in the division! jusdontno
Yankees currently lead the Wild card and are only 2 or 3 games behind Boston for Division title. So it is a little premature to dismiss this from the playoffs, I think they will definitely be there. Yankees, Red Sox, Indians, Angels, A's--3 of the 5 get in. gotmilk?
How about this, in the last month the Indians have cut the White Sox lead in half and seem to be coming on strong, is there a possiblitiy that with 8 games seperating them and they still face each other 6 teams that the Indians can win the Central? Boston better start playing some ball, the Yanks have gained 3 games on them in the last 10 games! It wouldnt surprise me if this division came down to a chilly Oct. 2nd afternoon game in Boston!
