hv showed a few of cc's best friday against gp.

offense

todd caldwell threw for 200+ yards and 3 tds with just one int. drew davis received 100+ yards and 2 tds. will lowe had 150+ rushing yards and 2 tds. these 3 are complimented by rb/wr ryan garland, wr greg swafford(50+ yards and 1 td) and wr daniel shankle.

defense

lowe and logan birchfield had 10+ tackles a piece and a couple sacks as well. davis had an int. jon calandros was a demon as a pass rusher having more than a handful of qb hurries and a couple sacks.

my player of the game would have to be will lowe. he was everywhere on offense and on defense. it was a thing of beauty to watch him run the ball. no way did the first man make the tackle. if i had to make an estimate, id say he broke 25+ tackles on the night. potter is a good fullback, but it will be very hard for him to prove he is better than lowe. on defense, he was just as good. when a play was needed, he was somewhere in the picture. if he wasnt in the immediate tackle, he was somewhere in the pile.

    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
    • Heard Seq has gotten a lot stronger this off season. Can’t wait to see how the boys do this year
