give me a break !! , i gave you enough credit to realize we were just picking fun at how we always have to listen to recruiting rumors ....i guess i overestimated you .No one was making light of the terrible situation with hurricane katrina , and for you to be so quick to point a finger otherwise totally blows my mind .

Let's not get into the recruiting argument. We all know that there have been players at Maryville who did not belong. And to be fair about the situation, I am sure that there have been players for Central who did not belong there either. No one is innocent. So those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

As a bobcat, it warms my heart to see the Maryville faithful so concerned about us that they are doing most of the posting on a central thread.

As a Maryville fan it warms my heart that my Maryville education gave me the reading comprehension skills to realize that a boobcat fan was the one who brought Maryville into this thread first . My heart is also warmed by shining up 8 GOLD BALLS . btw , how many do you have ??? awww that warms my heart too !! B)

Congratulations! You can read. That is not what I said. I said that Maryville fans (that would be you) are posting (that would be what you did) on a Central thread. And I love the way when all else fails, we shine our balls up. We are going to have to work on the comprehension part.

Agree the terrible situation with hurricane katrina is not funny, my post was a poke at the shariff wasteing tax dollars joy riding in county aircraft, thats all. another issue.

Sticking to football, is this a region game for a region foe? Yes it is. Would I as a Maryville fan like for Central to lose, Yes! Will Central to LC, I don't think so.

I dont think anyone should expect A transfer to contribute right away, as there will be much to learn in a new system. Central has plenty of capable receivers, and a good QB supported by a solid O-Line. In my opinion Central wins and hopefully some younger kids will get some game time. The CHS coaching staff wont allow any opponent to be overlooked.

    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
    • He was pretty darn good for a freshman, but he will have a hard time seeing the field at Oakland for a good while, I’m afraid.
    • Dang I feel bad for the kid. I’m sure he loves his dad and wants to do anything for his dad but I don’t think he realizes his dad isn’t doing the best for his football career if he keeps jumping schools.
