i can agree about p.pj. polk....he is da real deal.I went out on a drag...and no sooner than i caught it i was dragged down. The next thing i hear is "P.J. Polk on the tackle"......went out on another drag route....and i'll be dang if he didnt almost intercept it!!!!!I was impressed with Oaklands performance.....they showed up just as we did....but played better than we thought they would....(my bad ,i wont ever underestimate a team...especially yall)

Thank you VERY VERY much. Our boys had been thru the emotional wringer this week, and I was impressed with our determination. PJ Polk is as good of a baseball player as he is a football player. Just an overal athlete with a 4.0 GPA. And here is the BEST part.....a JUNIOR!

The game was kind of weird, or maybe it was just me (I've been called weird more times than I can remember). Weird in a not-as-exciting-as-it-should-of-been kind of way. I was impressed by the Patriot quarterback and the time he had when throwing the ball. Our quarterback (Ellis) also played well, along with others on both sides of the ball.

The refs seemed to be a bit on the flag-happy side, and I wish I could have seen the incomplete pass (that looked like a Falcon interception) from a few other angles. Also, following a play resulting in a first down, they would start the clock before the chains were in place...is that normal?

I also had a hot dog for the first time...it lived up to its reputation.

My most enjoyable part of the evening was right after the first Oakland touchdown...the Falcons marched the ball down the field and scored and then the defense held the Patriots to 3 and out. That was some classic Lincoln County football...the kind that we'll have to display for four quarters next week against Cookeville.

Glad that you enjoyed the dog. Yes, I remember lots of classic battles b/t LC and Oakland. And yes....didn't like that ref crew. I noticed about the clock myself. I thought we got INT too. In fact I was stunned when they called it an incomplete pass. And yall got a DELIGHTFUL spot to make a first down early in the game. I think we both got RIPPED myself.......

i think i told u b-4 that pj polk is for real. totally svelte.

the kid is a playa through and through.

i heard he took some hard hits on returns & still kept comin hard.

this is a kid who wont get wrapped up in all that drama off the field.

this is a kid who 's head is in the game every snap.

i am proud of u pj and all u patriots.

it was a hard week but u r better 4 it.

bet pico's mom hated seeing that entrance. LOL ;)

she was actually cheering the whole night for the team.

Yeah, I forgot about that delightful spot...I guess when the crappy officiating goes both ways it evens out....

I have NEVER seen Riverdale do that entrance. EVER.....

I am not talking about seniors coming out holding hands for a coin toss. I am talking about the entire team walking out in like 4 rows of kids thru the sign and to the middle of the field. TOGEThER.And this was something the BOYS thought of, not a contrived thing by the coaches. It made a STATEMENT. It was a VERY emotional entrance. And if RHS does it...it didn't have the same effect as when it did last night for us. I talked to many Falcon fans at half-time that said if they ended up losing to us, they wouldn't be upset b/c of that entrance and all we have been thru.

I will say it again...I am so PROUD of this whole TEAM.

I won't comment on Pico's Mom.....never saw her, and glad of it.

Oak Ridge has been doing that entrance for the past 2 years. guess we will see the similarities between the 2 versions when ya'll come to the Blankenship Field during Thanksgiving week.

    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
    • I heard Alabama was at Antioch practice and Colorado has offered QB. Hoping the Bears have a great year.
