Campbell County At Bearden

After defeating Science Hill Friday night, Bearden needs only one more region win to solidify a playoff spot this year.

Campbell Co. is struggling at times, but seems to be a tougher team than their record indicates.

It is our homecoming, and we definitely haven't forgot the close loss CC handed us two years ago on our homecoming.

What are the thoughts on this game?

21-6 Bearden

the shoe seems to be on the other foot this year playoff wise...plus teh dawgs remember taht CC has handed them twostraight defeats after taking th e first 20 games between the two schools...Bearden is vying for a playoff spot...the Cougs ar apparently in a spoilers position this year...

unless teh Cougs regroup fast and furiously teh DAwgs will surely post a homecoming win and teh cougars will once again become :everyone's homecoming opponent...

Bearden seems to be having a season like we did last year. Which I really CANNOT believe after all the turmoil that was being talked at the end of last year on this website, I thought Bearden was headed way down. CC is really struggling...obviously, we may be able to match up with Bearden in some areas and hopefully that will help. I hope CC brings out another "secret weapon" this week and does something with it and brings home the 2nd win of the season. Good Luck to ya Coach Wells

How a few weeks can change things. With three games remaining, the Bulldogs have a excellent opportunity to finish the regular season at .500 and make the playoffs! The first winning season in several years is a possibility.

Hats off to the players for continuing to battle each week! Don't take any of the last three teams for granted, continue to play hard, and let's see what happens. Go Dawgs!

well peeblee you know me, not no cougar fan here lol. just started following them last year when all the hype hit the board in the summer. been critiquing (spelling) them ever since and even picking a win or 2. gotta admit the fluke statement drew some out lol. being that the game is out west here, i'm gonna pick the doggies in this one (they are no longer pups but have a ways to go to be the big dogs) what's this secret weapon i read on another thread being a wishbone lol. thats it your only game is a running game so put more defenders in the box (thats so wise). seriously thats the type of running game that needs to be practiced over and over to sucessfully run not in one weeks time.

    • I am going to assume you are not a lawyer, and most reasonable lawyers would not say the lawsuit has a zero percent chance in court. I agree with you that a coach has the ability to dismiss anyone from a team. However, Ms. Winfree was never presented with the opportunity to present her witnesses and have them tell the coaches and administrators what they heard. A lawyer could better explain the lawsuit and the grounds to you. Before you start making wild assumptions about the lawsuit, would it be too much to ask that you do a little legal research first? The lawsuit is dealing with due process, loss of property, and defamation.   You can read the lawsuit here: https://bdnewsletter.files.wordpress.com/2024/04/doc-1-complaint-filed-4-18-2024.pdf
    • The administration took the path of backing the coach and whispering to people that the kid was a problem. The reality is that the kid was never a problem on a team or classroom. The player says she has witnessed who back her not saying the f-word.  Why did the coach make that story up and other stories? I am not Sigmund Freud and do not have an answer for the ex=-coach's behavior..
    • I think they have they coach they want close to being done. I guess we will all see how this plays out. I hope the hire a good one. There are some players in the box for the next coach to work with.
    • Going to grundle Troy Fleming?
    • I agree I don't think it will go to trial either, but I feel like that will be because no judge would deem this to warrant a law suit... If the school board settles, they loose and all coaches and schools loose too.
