SC looked solid in the jamboree. Their O line is not that big, but very quick. They seem to be loaded with good athletes. I read on another board that one of their receivers made it to the state in track last year. (I think that's what I read) I think their strength is in the run, although I'm sure they have a good passing game. They have good fan support and will bring a good crowd to Boyd this Friday night. Hope you SC fans enjoy the new bleachers we put in over the summer for our visitors.

This looks to be one of the best matchups in the region this week and may be the best in the area. Looking at common opponents and Sequatchie hosting, this game is tough to call. With Dunlap coming off two heartbreak losses to Tyner and Westmoreland, I believe they will bring their game to the field Friday nite. With homefeild advantage, Sequatchie 18 Boyd 17.

Good luck Indians!

I think most would agree that this is going to be a good game. We hope all the SC fans has a safe trip over the mountain. Come early and plan on eating at the game. We will have hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, popcorn etc. Also for those of you who have not been to our campus, we have a new visitors bleachers. It seats about 1100 so you should have enough room. The easiest way to come would be to get off of coridor J at the Chickamauga Dam exit. Go straight for approx 5 miles and get off at the Shallowford Rd exit. You will turn right off the exit ramp and go approx 2-3 miles, you will then turn left onto North Moore Rd. The campus will be on your left approx 1/4 mile. Parking is a problem so if you can carpool I would advise you do so. There is additional parking across North Moore Rd at Cumberland Pres Church, but it is a long walk from there. Let's have a good game, hope everyone has a good time.

Last week when our team, westmoreland, played sequatchie we knew it was going to be a hard nosed football game. If sequatchie plays with that same heart, then I believe they can upset Boyd. If they go in upset cause they lost 2 in a row then it will be 3. Dont look back on the past guys, you have a home playoff game at stake. You are a really good football team so keep playing with that attitude. You all have earned our respect, now go out and get theirs. But remember you gotta earn it. Good luck to you and I hope to see you again (if you know what i mean).

    • Pickett is good, may have a Mr. Football like season if he’s used correctly. One of the best teams Marion has fielded in a while. I think they go 12-1 and loose to ER.  ER has better players at almost every position. If they play discipline this year, they win soundly. If they don’t though…Marion could sneak away with it.
    • I’m betting the house on the Indians. Pickett and Co will be the only team to challenge the Indians in the East. Huntingdon can in the West. I think Brooks goes 15-0 and has the first perfect season and state championship in ER history.
    • Sounds like a great opportunity has opened up for the football team.  With the head coach of the diamond rebels making it official and quitting this week, there should be some room for the gridiron guys to benefit. I assume the administration won’t continue paying six figures to two former coach that quit to continue teaching drivers Ed. Thats pretty good money that could be redirected toward the football program. Also, with the more recent policies of pushing kids to only play one sport, abolishing the baseball program altogether would help on Friday nights in the fall. There is some decent speed on that baseball team that should’ve been playing on Fridays IMO. I’m not sure if anybody would really miss that baseball program anyway with it being across town from the school. The liability of letting players actually use the facilities could also be mitigated with closing the program. That liability seems to be a really big issue for 825. Anyway, it seems like a great opportunity is available.
    • Yeah, I read about their spring blue/gray scrimmage after I typed that.   Sounds like a real mess over there.  I just hate that for 'em.  Haw
    • Maybe OR will be, but Farragut, nah, I don’t think anybody realizes how much of a bad situation that program is in currently. I’m sure they will build out of it, but the next 3 to 4 years are going to be a long climb up.
