Rockwood lost to Oliver springs by a touchdown and CAK beat Oliver Springs by 30. So, Cak 28 Rockwood 14

On those lines of thinking. Rockwood lost to Midway by 2 then beat Harriman by 34 then harriman beat Midway by 7 so I agree with rhsfootball1 you just can't compare previous games.

Rockwood 28

CAK 21

You may be able to compare the talent of the QB's involved, but you must take into consideration the supporting cast for each QB. Imagine having a stable of running backs, several athletic targets to throw to, dominate O line, and a lock down defense = Alcoa. Simply, the QB doesn't have to win the thing by himself. Harb is good, but their overall team can not be compared to Alcoa. I think RW will struggle a little bit against the pass, but they will fight hard and be prepared by the coaching staff. Too early to predict a winner. What is your take on the situation WaggleRT?

If Rockwood can pressure CAKs QB, then it may be a close game, if not, look out!

Harb has proven if given enough time to throw, he has capable receivers that can make big plays. Also, not much is mentioned about CAK defense, but they have a big front line to contend with.

How do figure that Fiegler's not on the same level? Ok, maybe he doesn't pass it 1,000,000 times a game like Harb, but that's because he plays three quarters a game and has the best RB in the state in his backfield. If Fiegler did pass it as much as Harb, his numbers would be better than Harb's. Look at the stats:

Harb- 1515 yds., 225 att., 122 comp., 12.4 yd. avg., 6 INT's, 17 TD's, 54% comp.

Fiegler- 1398 yds., 99 att., 63 comp., 22.2 yd. avg., 4 INT's, 18 TD's, 64% comp.

Fiegler's stats are obviously better than Harb's, except yds., and he does better against big teams. With the exception of Maryville, Fiegler was great in all Alcoa's big games. At McCallie, Fulton, and Loudon he had a combined 525 yds.,(remember only three quarters played in 2 of those games). In Harb's biggest game (Alcoa), he was 10-35 for 105 with 3 picks, a lot of those completions were aginst 2nd and 3rd strings. So tell me how he's better?

I'm sorry I went off topic, I was just proving a point, I still think CAK takes this one. Good luck Warriors.

Before i get yelled at, let me say this out front. Joei Fiegler is a VERY good quarterback. Now, i believe that people's basis on Harb being better than Fiegler stems not from what they are doing currently, but the potential that they have. Also, lets take into consideration exactly who Fielger is throwing the ball to.(namely Kyrus Lanxter and Brandon Warren)These two guys who have the potential to score every time they touch the ball whether offensively or defensively. While Harb has Jay Smith and converted soccer player Jeremy Park (both good athletes, neither even flirting with the idea of being on the same level as the before mentioned Tornadoes) hauling in most of the passes. I will finish this by saying that both Fielger and Harb are great HS quarterbacks, itll be interesting to see what happens with the rest of their senior seasons and their collegiate careers.

Although OS beat Rockwood, I think Rockwood matches up better with CAK than Oliver Springs did. That still doesn't mean they can stop them, but Billy Moffitt is the type player that is very capable of making plays for Rockwood's secondary. Rockwood also has a very good offense (although they struggled in the red zone early this season). They've had four games this season in which they've had 375+ yards of offense and three of those games they have rushed for 300 yards alone. They have the ability to keep Harb and Co. off the field for long periods of time.

I personally think turnovers will be the key to Friday's game because I'm not sure if either defense can hold the other team under four touchdowns. I'd hate to be a defensive coordinator this week.

Good post, in no way am I saying that Harb isn't a good QB, one of the top 3 QB's in East Tennessee, IMO. All I'm saying is that Fiegler is a little better. Experience is probably the main reason I think that, (four year starter, and 3rd in passing all- time in the state of TN). Both are having great senior years, and I expect both of them to sign D-1 scholarships in February. Once again, good luck against Rockwood.

P.S. I believe I was one of the few people on here who actually believed CAK would make the playoffs. I figure that they should be 3rd in the region, and will be playing in November :justwrestle:.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
