Chumney's name has changed?? Should be great for distrcting scouters!! Did she get adopted?married? She is a great young lady from what I have seen on the floor. Her opponents love her..she has great sportsmanship. Where did she sign to play? I was hoping she might go to MTSU with Brown!

This district is such a toss-up. The top four are very evenly matched. The #1 seed could go in to the tourney with as many as three losses?!?

My husband and I adopted Monica and her brother, on July 22...their names were officially changed at that time...

Today she turned 18...signed with Campbellsville University...and got her driver's license...

We think she's a great young lady...and we appreciate you saying so too...

I don't know which Sleeper it is, but ain't no way Smith County is winning this district, Macon probably won't either but still, no shot....and hey devilfanatic...we'll see, you may be right but we'll see...:o

good point champ...we have no shot. what was i thinkin? :thumb:

i saw LA play in camp. i know it was jus camp but i didnt see them bein ahead of UHS, York, or us. which i could be completely wrong. never know in this district. well rounded top 4 teams could beat each other on any given night. it'll be a good race. great year.

Think that upperman or livingston will win this district. If Smith Co. can find a true point guard to get the ball to monica, they have a shot, but ball handling has been a major problem. Hope Cannon Co. does well, Dodgen is a great coach, wouldn't be surprised to see him do some good things there. Best of luck to him, SC losst a really great guy and coach.

I have to put my two cents in and go with York, of course. Brandi Brown's senior year will be her best one yet. She's signed with MTSU, so she doesn't have to worry about that decision. Now she can focus on leading her team as far as she can. Amanda Tate is stepping up in the role of a senior, as well, and is showing leadership with Brandi. Also, last year's freshmen are now sophomores and have some more experience. Katy Bradfield, Hannah Tompkins, and Brittany Shingleton will be more prepared and experienced this year. Now, as far as the rest of the district goes, I wish Jackson was still in 7AA, just so I could see the Ross twins play against York again. Oh well. I know nothing at all about Macon County, so I can't comment on them. What I know about the other teams from past years is that Livingston, Upperman, and Smith are always tough. They play hard and smart, and you have to work extra hard against them. Cannon will probably be good with Dodgen as the new coach. Still, I'm pullin for York, with Brandi and Tater as the senior leaders. Go Dragons! I love you girls!

    • Starting to pick up for Sam. He has 4 or 5 offers now and more on the way. By mid season the Warriors should have 5 or 6 kids with offers.
    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
