When will the hatchett Bradley has against these two schools be buried.

I had hoped with the new coach at bradley that maybe they could go at each other again.

What great matches we have missed because grown men won't let this die

Come on coach, what better Revenge is there for stealing a couple of your home grown boys than to kick some preppie butt

The people deserve it

can i get an amen

Same old tired thread...different year. Just click on last years or the year before (etc etc etc)and we wont have to go through this one again.

DEAR MS CHICK,

Being new to this venue, I'm not sure what you mean. If people keep bringing this up then why doesn't someone in the Bradley camp say enough is enough.

I don't have a dog in this fight ,I'M just a hugh wrestling fan that would love to watch this match. I didn't mean to ruffle your feathers but if you are who I think you are, then maybe it takes a woman to get this done

Sorry, Didnt realize you were new to this thread. This is an annual discussion that seems to kick off this board year after year with nothing but the same old arguments. Each school and/or supprters argue good points on both sides but it in all likelyhood is not going to happen in the near future. It usually turns into a "were better than you are" war of words between each shcools supporters. Its based on opinions only that will stay moot because at least for now it wont happen .So, the thread and its same old arguments get old fast. The posts that immediately followed were typical repeats.

But it is understandable that people want to see it. The reasons it wont happen are a long and detailed list that the Coaches of BC feel strongly about. The other side feels just as strong and disagree whole-heartedly with BCs stance. No winner in this discussion and no real point in a long and pointless thread.

You are right in that it would be a great match.

But, dont worry about the feathers they are still in place!

You are also right in that I may be able to get something done(LOL)!

Thanks Ms House for your response.

But wouldn't it be nice to see these three coaches sitting down for breakfest @ Wally's discussing the B Lane incident and what ever is chapping their bottoms and try to forgive and forget.

This reminds me of Two good friends having a silly non-meaning argument, that turns into years of lost memories with both to stubborn to give in.

Maybe Coach Morgan or Coach Connell ( although I doubth they ever read these message boards) will make a phone call and set a meeting>Bring your peace pipe and let the healing begin.

If any Baylor ,McCallie or Bradley alum would like to see these great schools wrestle each other again ,E-mail your coaches and say Amen let's get it on.

Although I like both both schools, I just want someone local to whip them ever now and then, and I think Bradley IS the only team to do it

B.C., I'm with you. This would be a huge event and fun to watch. My understanding of the history of this issue is somewhere between yours and the Chick's. I have not read the previous years' forum debates, but I have listened to the buzz in our community over the last couple of years.

I really don't think that the privates would avoid this match. Chick suggests that the privates have reason to avoid it (if I interpreted his or her comments correctly). If Chick is right I can only assume that the privates would not do their programs any good to lose a match to a public school, so maybe they battle only with those public schools they are certain to beat.

The Bradley leadership must suffer from the same ignorance as the bulk of our community. 'The privates recruit and offer scholarships making it unfair for the publics to compete' This thinking quite possibly the resultant conclusion following the past decision of a parent or two from Cleveland to send their boy (who happened to be a good wrestler) for a very expensive, quality private education in Chattanooga. The fact is...the privates do not recruit and do not offer scholarships to student-athletes. But getting that accross to people who have their minds made up otherwise is about as futile an effort as getting these schools together in a gym.

I will make one last reply. I did not insinuate that the privates would avoid it. It did NOT begin with the Lane incident as everyone assumes. It was well before that.

Standing by beliefs and principles, even if contrary to popular opinon, is not ignorance.

All these teams have great programs. I wish them luck.

    • Wow, that really stinks. I hate that for you guys.
    • Not sure what you mean? 40 TOTAL? Macon is a good team no doubt, but I believe they've only scored 35 total points against Uppeeman the last two years, and that's over three games.
    • This scenario resonates with the dynamics observed in my hometown of Hartsville. The undue influence of politics on high school sports remains a pervasive issue, detracting from the integrity of athletic programs.  The proliferation of individuals driven by a thirst for power inevitably precipitates the downfall of any program. It appears that we are currently grappling with similar challenges akin to those faced by Greenback. Please accept my condolences for your ordeal.
    • From what we are hearing on the reservation we will be lucky to beat sunbright. And trust me I am not throwing stones at them because they play their hearts out. It’s a tuff game every year, just like Oakdale but when you have small numbers that’s what you get. And then you add in that you loose two top linemen and the starting qb!!!! Along with a running back!  We are in deep trouble.
    • The coach's departure ensued due to the absence of backing from the board members, compounded by the unsettling revelation that one board member persistently surveilled him, verging on conduct akin to harassment. Furthermore, it appears that meeting the expectations of this community remains an unattainable feat, as even a hypothetical scenario of clinching five consecutive state championships would likely not suffice to quell discontent. The current situation is fraught with complications, primarily stemming from applicants for the position who have cultivated relationships with board members known to have opposed the former coach.
