When this happens next year i fully expect you to come out of your small one bedroom apt. and experience the real world.

The top five teams in AAA for next year will be: (not in this order)

Brentwood

Centennial

Collierville

Houston

Hendersonville

Some things never change

P.S.

I know each of these teams rosters and saw each play numerous times.

Amazing what happens when you see the sunlight

you left oak ridge and siegal out the last 4 years oak ridge has had something to say about the state title and siegal will too but i guess you have never seen stones river play the best 2 players on that team are from siegal when they learn how to defend better they will be a contender

First-Oak Ridge lost the best player in high school soccer

Second- In the last two years the state champ has given 0 goals during the tourn.

Learn how to defend? Thats what this sport is about.

yeah but the last 2 champs have gotten the easy end of the bracket its easy to prepare for teams you have already beaten hopefully with a extra week of practice and a extra week in the regular season of teams play might be better and so many teams won't crap out towards the end like bearden, farragut, ooltewah, shelbyville, hendersonville smyrna, beech and franklin and others

mjuhb, are you actually using punctuation?! I'm proud of you, man!

What do you mean by extra week of practice and team play?

mjuhb, the best 2 players on the Stones River team do not go to siegel. There are 2 players on the SRFC team that are in the ODP national pool. Neither go to siegel. The biggest impact on the SRFC team this year is the return of a player that they struggled at times without last year, she also doesn't go to siegel.

Are the SRFC girls at siegel good? Asolutely, but don't go overboard with them. There are a lot of other outstanding travel players in this state that don't go to siegel and many teams have more of them than siegel does. They should be an outstanding team, but player for player there are many that match up or exceed them.

Siegel? Please...

They weren't that close last year. They won't be much better next year.

Centennial played better without Fisher. That tells you something. They graduated the heart of that team.

Oak Ridge? Their schedule will allow them to go something like 19-3 and make it back to the state tournament, but they won't know how to finish it off. (Their player WAS better than Fisher when they played.) Check out their district competition. They won't be a threat. Which leads to the next comment. . .

For 10 straight years, the state champion in AAA (some of those years there was only one classification. . . splitting was the best thing to happen to Baylor) has been either from the Brentwood/Franklin district or the Houston/Germantown/Collierville district. That's 10 STRAIGHT years. (And 11 of 12). And everybody knows it, but they can't stop it. These teams know how to win against the best. The teams that advance from those areas have earned it. An extra week would only help these coaches. These teams defend against other great teams game-in and game-out. Beating district teams by scores of 11-0 and 9-1 doesn't happen too much for them.

Some of the teams that "crap out" at the end really aren't that good to begin with. (Beech? Ooltewah? Smyrna? SMYRNA??? Shelbyville?) How can they "crap out"? The others just didn't get prepared to win during the season. This past season, Houston was PK's away from both finalists being from the same district. That's a lot of other teams "crapping out". An extra week won't help. Some teams want you to believe that they are good (look at who does the most talking on here). Others spend all season preparing to prove it to you when it counts.

Interesting comment except splitting was actually the best thing to happen to the big 5 you mention. Just in the last 2 years alone their head to head against them was 4-1.

well first off siegel has lost no seniors so there is should only be improvement in the defensive area and it's S-I-E-G-E-L my friends. No A in siegel :thumb: and bruinssoccer who do u think is gonna have a shot at the title Brentwood?Because if I remember correctly they got beat 3-0 by Collierville.Let the the 2006 season be the judge of who's the better team.
