Don't matter who it is because its never fair, one of the finalist got beat something like 40 to 0 last night and He will probably win it. I,m not sure but I don't think the team that beat them has a single guy nominated. Its rare when the best player gets it. Ask the people at DCA. They might varify .

It's probably unrealistic to expect the best player to be nominated. Usually it's the best player off of a team that has played good. Many times the winner comes off the team that makes it deepest into the playoffs. That's why Mt. Pleasant should give extra effort to get to the state so Rod has a better shot at winning. Give it everything Tigers. Play to win for Rod's sake!!!

someone being the best player in any sport is a matter of opinion...ppl will always get mad...they try to pick the person that is best for the award...i promise...stop complaining just cause ur little boy isnt up for it

Its not sour grapes to me, My kid is in elementry school and at the rate he's going . He may just win this award. I Know thats a long shot ,but someones going to win it. Too many great players hid on teams where they don't have a chance. I do think they nominate very deserving kids every year. Sometimes they even choose the right ones. One of the teams I rout for had two kids to win it the same year. I was tickled to death for our school and these two boys. Whoever wins this award can be extremely proud. I think they were at least, one of the best. Its just about impossible to say who is Mr football. The schools I rout for don't have anyone nominated and I don't think anyone has even give it a thought. I sure haven't

I agree pujo...... Last year DCA kid beat out the Mt Pleasant's Roro. Look at the stats.............. Roro had almost 150 tackles on the season and DCA boy barely had 50. Roro playes tailback some and scored touchdowns aganist CPA in the playoffs. But who got the award, DCA Thompson. Stats would say Roro would have gotten it. But to me it is who & what school is represented.

And the year before the running back from DCA was onerlooked a little. Many deserving kids and congrat to the one who gets it. One thing is for sure, they don't nominate anyone thats not a great player.

MT.PLEASANT win it for the TEAM!!!!!! and the TOWN!!!!!! and the SCHOOL!!!!!! NOT just one player it takes a TEAM!!!! EFFORT to win a game not just one man!!! and i am not saying nothing bad about rod he is great!!! but he has not won these games by himself!! DAILY should have been the MR.FOOTBAL FINALIST FROM MP sophmore or not over 1600 yards rushing and 29 tds come ON!!! and props goes out to the hogs who realy is a big part of MPs great year who don't get no credit none of the players who are finalist got there with out their team mates. Dugger don't get enough credit from MP AND THAT'S THE BOTTOMLINE MY OPINION EVERYBODY'S GOT ONE.

QB Dustin Dillehay is a finalists and I don't really agree with it. It just seems like they wanted somebody from TC to be on there. I think that Nelson Harper has carried that team just as much if not more than Dillehay.

CJ hammack had 2100 yards rushing with 20+ tds. Yards earned in the toughest region in 1A football. For him to be overlooked is a rediculous joke. It just shows that this award is like the BCS. Its a "Beauty Pageant".

Kevin Smithson from Temple should have been on the list instead of Antonio Robinson of South Pittsburg. I mean, Smithson was Regional Player of the Year (not Robinson). So, I don't really understand how Robinson won out over Smithson for the Mr. Football Finalists in 1A.
