you no you guy's are so blowed up no one said heart won any game for JBS so don't blowing thing's up and if you think you are scareing someone well you crave on because someone will cover you up , so you bigger huh, faster wow , stronger , wow very bold statement's from someone who has never seen JBS maybe you should slip over to MT,pleasant and ask them about it and about the blowout not going to happen you must remember who JBS has played in the past so go blow bag somewhere else we don't want to here it OK"""""""""" :thumb:

You don't get it do you??...

While you guys have been playing all those 1A opponents for years,UC has been playing with and doing pretty well against teams that would destroy Jo Byrns....While I'm not going to compare Jo Byrns to say a Gleason or Greenfield,I would compare them to a Lake County,Bruceton or West Carroll and we all saw what UC did to those supposedly top notch 1A teams in the West Tn area...I would say that Fayette Acd and JCS are better than Jo Byrns and UC beat them as well...You guys keep comparing this game to a Mt.Pleasant...UC would not have had to come back from a 20-7 deficit to beat them...JCS gave UC a run for their money for about 6-7 minutes, then UC put the hammer down on them after they had made 20-0 deficit a 20-14 "game"with 2 td runs to up the lead back up to 33-14...Jo Byrns will come out fired up and have some good things happen to them over the course of the 1st two quarters...But,in the end Union City will come out on top with their size, speed and depth...I think Union City will even win by two or three touchdowns..Nobody is trying to scare anyone...LOL...Who would I be trying to scare??..You or a Jo Byrns player??..No,I don't think a little post on a high school football web site is going to do that..Get yourselves ready..You will be playing an opponent Friday night that will not be intimidated by their surroundings..And again as the Big Ones suggest as of right now,Jo Byrns is a 78% choice of people around the state..Only going by records my friend, only by records...And records don't win games and that gaudy 13-0 record isn't scaring anybody over here west of the Tennessee River...

That has to be one of the most ignorant posts that I have read. You may be right that no one cares who Union City has played, however, to say that a loss can not help you more than a win is laughable. I would rather lose to a Westview or Milan type team who were both consistently ranked in the top five of 2A than beat up on Halls and Cannon Co. Records do not reflect which team is better. I'm not worried at all about JB. I really feel that they will be completely over matched and the only thing that is going to happen will be gripes about Union City's enrollment and how they should still be in 2A and all of that. Tissues anyone?

Yea buddy, take a walk through Union City's halls and then ask yourself is it a private school. In case radio happend to be out over that way, a little while ago there was this idea of reclassification. That is what lead Union City to drop down to single A, and McKenzie and a few others. NEWSFLASH...haha- no, Union City nor I nor anybody else is trying to scare anyone- I have seen JB play, and Union City is atleast a 2 touchdown better team.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
