Bounder..this isn't really for you...actually I'm very new at this. I've been reading for a while but just registered. I just wanted to share a thought....I know both of these programs very well....I coached some of the OR coaches at the Boys Club...some years ago. they are all terrific young men and have done a super job this year.

 

In following some of these threads...the interesting point is that neither side seems to have seen the other team play....really hard to evaluate with only half the data.

 

This entire process has been so much fun at Ravenwood over the last two years. See...I played for Cactus Jack in the 60's ...number 1 son played for OR in the late 80's...number two son was the left tackle on the 91 team....and number 4 son is the right tackle on the Ravenwood team.....how much fun is that!

Ole Dad...I was the OR Football booster VP in the late 80's.....any chance you were close to the program then.....? Maybe we know each other...

 

By the way...for all you guys...Ravenwood also had scouts at Blankenship Friday night....but you already knew that.....every good staff has scouts and that goes back to the late 60's...maybe further

Raptorfan10...yep those are for real and I think they may be before RavenCats time by a few years, they are probably form the late 1940's early 1950's. The coach is probably Ben Martin. I was just a puppy then so I'm not really sure. I'm from the infamous class of 1961!!!

Before i start this forum i want OR to know that i am from William Blount and i want to wish them good luck and a safe trip up there.

 

I havent heard or seen how Ravenwood plays but i have seen OR and i saw them beat Riverdale last friday and from what i saw i think that OR has the determination and focus to win this saturday. But it is going to be a close game.

And i want to wish both teams luck. And to everyone a safe trip up to the boro.

and when Jack Daniels left ravenwood, they went to the playoffs, but there is a valid reason on that.

first of all ravenrap...i happen to know jack daniels very very personally, and i was just wondering what your implying by saying that they went to the the playoffs after Jack Daniels left. How do you think ravenwood started there program in the first place. Daniels is the reason for the strong spread offense as well as hiring the coaching staff that they have right now. So please tell me what your talking about?
