Flashes of brillance last night as JOJO Throp led DB past Volunteer, as quoted in the Kingsport Times:

 

"In overtime, Throp shined. His brilliant up-and-under from the baseline gave the Indians a 67-64 lead, then an acrobatic 3-point play in the paint with two minutes to go pushed the advantage to four.

 

"I just wanted the ball," Throp said. "I didn't think they could handle me.

 

"This win definitely builds character," he added."

 

 

Volunteer couldn't handle him as he broke ankles everywhere. Coach K would be lucky to handle him! :thumb:

Do you realize your talking about an overtime win over VOLUNTEER.... please dont mention coach k and throp in the same sentence again

Just so everyone knows. These Idiots that keep posting this crap about JoJo Throp are not DB fans, and all the post are most likely from one Sullivan South fan with several screen names.

 

Throp must be dating this guys x-girlfriend.

 

Hey Waco Freako I want to start off by saying that I hate South and I am posting this message from DB High School the best high school in the world!!!!! I don't know what you think you are talking about because I am a DB fan. And what do you mean when you say "keep posting this crap about JoJo" cause in case you haven't noticed we think that JoJo should win Mr. Basketball! Awesome performance last night JoJo! those 9 points in OT were all AWESOME

      I expect Sevier County might be pretty good, perhaps Mo West as well.     But I don't see either of them getting out of round 2.          The rest of the region gets smoked in round 1.            Except for those once-in-a-blue-moon anomaly years the NET big schools are pretty much the same every season.

      Wanted to see if all of you would lift up Kyle James family in prayer. Kyle was one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Soddy Daisy and as some of you know he lost his house a few weeks ago and now his family and friends mourns his passing. Not sure if any of you were around in early 2000’s when Kyle was wrestling at Soddy, but he was a 3 time state champ and a Fargo AA along with going to Colorado to train to make the Olympic team. That goal was never reached due to medical issues, but he was an amazing wrestler and his family is as good as gold. If you were around at that time and have any pictures of Kyle, please go onto Alexy Winesburgh FB page and post. Thanks, Doug Benton

      My opinion the 8 teams will be-  Greenback, Wartburg, Gordonsville, Jo Byrns, Eagleville, Bruceton, Dresden, and South Fulton. Gordonsviile is probably the favorite but I wont say it will be an easy road. With the right draw any of the 8 could win it.
