Their biggest threat (aka Huntingdon) blew a 14-0 lead last week against a team in Goodpasture that they were simply better than, end of story.

Sorry but Huntington was not a better team than Goodpasture. Goodpasture had more total yards, first downs and hit harder. Huntington had two plays for 148 yards and not much else. Huntington was a good team but not stacked with a lot of athletes. Alcoa has as many athletes as any team I have seen this year.

Since when did Brandon Warren de-commit from FSU?

UPN 30 interviewed Ronnie Carter at halftime, and asked him specifically about the Brandon Warren situation. Carter basically explained the facts, stating the TSSAA has a very low tolerance for unsportsmanlike acts and penalties, and he felt it was justified to do what was done, by the rule.

The reporter then basically dodged Carter's stern reponse and said, "well, Brandon Warren is being a great cheerleader on the sideline tonight and there are plenty of great playing days ahead for him at Florida State. Imagine how good Alcoa would be with the Mr. Football on the field."

They then talked about UPN 30's coverage and the coming Spring Fling.

As for Warren being a cheerleader, I guess it's OK for a suspended player to meet Dustin Lindsey at the 25-yard-line after a touchdown, three yards on the field, and push him into a rolling backflip. Good example, boys. Good example.

I have never watched Alcoa this season and I have no dog in this hunt, but I am disappointed in what I see from the discipline level of this team.

I am watching the broadcast as well.

My question to catfish-hunter was not about the attitude being shown but more germane to his comment that "both [will] fit in nicely at Tennessee". My understanding is that Warren is an FSU commitment; I was trying to ascertain if there was a de-commit, based on his comment that implied he was going to Tennessee.

I am watching the game and Alcoa is tallented but Lindsey doing the Hiesman pose...the takler on the kick off doing air lows ...never knew so many thugs could go to one school...oh yeah can't forget the thug coaches.

Him and Warren will both fit in nicely at Tennessee. They have unlimited potential but their attitudes are a little out there to say the least.

I've watched the whole game and the behavior seems more out of excitement than bad actions. With all these kids see on Sunday and Monday it's not to hard to understand a little showmanship.

    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
    • Heard Seq has gotten a lot stronger this off season. Can’t wait to see how the boys do this year
