The Stars Classic has now finished. DCA has again won the Tournament and is a well deserving winner. They just played better than the rest of the teams. Siegel was runner up and Fort Payne was third.

 

This was a good tournament, well run. The teams attending the tournament were great and put on a great show. While the attendance was good, the only thing missing that a number of fans asked about was the NATION which was advertised expecially noticed on the Siegel web site and due to some conflicts( out of town commitments), none was able to show except those players who played. Many of the Tennessee teams especially asked and saw the large banner on the southern end of the gym designating the NATION and asked about what has been promoted as the BEST CHEERING SECTION IN THE STATE but even the best get stretched thin during Christmas time.

 

The teams which came put on a great show. It was particularly interesting about the show the coaches put on. East Tennessee coaching was particularly interesting the final day when Hampton and South Doyle put it all on the line and played a very competitive game until the very end.

 

Fans of the games are fans of basketball. They are there for their teams and did travel some distance to see this fine tournament. Their enthusiasm was evident. Their partisonship was evident. Their courtesy was outward. THE COACHING STAFF
