Young & Talented Oliver Springs team is coming together

With a road win over previously undefeated Coalfield, Oliver Springs improves to 7-2 & more importantly 4-0 in the district. This was Oliver Springs's second road victory in the last week over a team that played in Murfreesboro last year ( Oneida & Coalfield).

With OS being mostly freshman & sophomore team, Coach Christopher has the Lady Cats rolling in the early season a lot faster than thought was possible. Keep in mind OS's two losses were against AAA power Oak Ridge on its court & one of the better AA teams in York Institute.

OS plays in the Mid South Tourney against some of the better teams in Tennessee. Three weeks ago most would have thought OS would have taken some lumps with such a young team in a prestigous tourney. Who knows if this team keeps progressing they way they have in the last three weeks.

Great Job by New Coach Christopher! The next three- four years with a lot of core of the team still playing will keep the Lady Cats as one of Tennessee's best basektball programs.

I think that you are right obout OZ! I hope that the team will be peaking around March Madness. With Smith gone and Kelsey Hall playing do you think that they will still be a contender? Hall and Christopher have played all their young lives together and you know that if you have, you react to each other in a way that no one else can. You know what the other one will do in certain situations and no one can know that unless they have played together alot. With the other team mates, will there be confusion or not? But if you're a good ball player you just know and it doesn't take long to figure it out! Anyway good luck to coach and them LADY CATS this year!!

Seems that the six upperclassmen on this TEAM might have had a little to do with their current record. They are a young team experience wise but they're a tough bunch of girls that seem to be focused on doing what it takes to win, regardless of who gets the credit. Hope they can stay that way. Good job by Coach Christopher in keeping the girls on track
