Jefferson County did have this problem a couple of years ago, only it was with the baseball program. A few parents and players didn't like the baseball coach and they had him ousted, after he had been there 20+ years and was coming off a conference championship.

 

A man doesn't have a certain reputation all his life and then it suddenly change in a two year span as the spoiled brat generation in jefferson county will lead you to believe with coach euverard. I watch practice regularly and have never witnessed anything out of the ordinary.

 

And Jefferson County isn't losing games because of Coach Euverard, it's losing games because an extreme lack of talent. And losing players like yourself definitely make no difference.

Euvarard inherited the championship team and after a while all of the players started quiting and the roster became very small, and Marty left Oakland or got fired. I might be a loser, but he is making all of my peers losers, and if he's stays here, there will be no victories to come. You can be the hardest working team in the world, but if you don't have a good coach, and all of the talent has quit, then you don't have a shot at winning a championship. You don't know how Marty conducts himself with his players and he one on one, all you hear is lies from players saying what a good coach he is. Football is supposed to be fun, and it can't be with a coach like Marty Euvarard

You have made 5 posts and all all them have bashed one of the best coaches in Tn. It is obvious why you joined the T. DZBettin is correct...Jefferson Co athletics had this problem before. He is also correct that the man had a great reputation and he did not change in two yrs. Marty will not run....you quit...he won't.

I was a MEMBER of that 98 State Championship team. You said above that NONE of us knows about Jeff County, WELL YOU don't have a CLUE about Oakland. The talent was NOT inherited. We were picked LOW to finish in our region. We had several losing seasons in a row B/F U was HC. We started out LOSING games. CoachU encouraged us and showed us how to believe in ourselves, and MARTY's Army was born. Now IF he can't coach, how did we go to the PLAYOFFS every single yr he was our Head coach? According to your theory, the talent would have run out in 3 yrs so how did he win for 6? Coach U was NOT fired, in fact he was asked to go to Siegel by our principal Mr. Nolan, a FORMER OHS football coach himself. Obviously he doesn't share your opinion of Coach U's coaching abilities. Maybe that is WHY he is a principal? Maybe YOU need to get some facts straight before you get on here shooting off that fat mouth of yours.

Something you might want to think about -TEAM players do NOT air their problems or concerns on CoachT. They also do not address their Head coach by his first name. It is easy to see WHO is at fault here. GROW up, you have NO desire to play the game of football. Go ahead and quit. You already have QUIT from the attitude you have showed on here.

Well, James, you just said it all. Any PLAYER that would get on a public forum and down his coach is showing what a coward he is. Seems to me that Jeff County was trying their best to WEED YOUR kind of players off the team. Take a clue....if YOU have a problem with your coach, you have two options......either QUIT yourself b/c Marty will NOT be a coward and RUN OR man up and go and tell your concerns to Marty yourself instead of whining like a 2 yr old on this forum.

 

The man has proven he has what it takes to build a winner. But are you willing to work hard to become one?? I seriously doubt it from your post. Hopefully from what I have heard from other players at Jeff Cty...there is HOPE for this school and for this team if the losers are weeded out.

28 varsity players at a 5A school with 70+ players 2 years before. You can`t do much more weeding out than that.

If there is anymore weeding there won`t enough players to field a team. Since Jeff County is apparently filled with nothing but losers and brats I guess you feel a total clean out of all the players is necessary. Funny how those losers and brats managed to be successful before Euverard and the weed outs came to town.

Come down to Jeff County School and ask students/football players how they feel about Marty. I guess Coach Meadows can't coach, he took us to to the playoffs year after year after year. Any coach that tells a player that he makes him want to vomit, and his parents should be ashamed to call him their son should not even be given the oppurtunity to coach. He was GREAT in Oakland. Maybe successful in your eyes ... , but maybe this coach who had actually been more successful just 7 yrs earlier knew that all the team needed was a little more toughness and a little more discipline to win it all .

 

BTW , i'd rather be 2-8 with a bunch of tough nosed " non -talented " kids ... than 6-4 , or 7-3 with a bunch of spoiled prima donna quitters .

It is your past coach's fault that Scooter and Jennings were suspended his last year when you were in your big playoff run. He let the discipline on this team got to pot, and he paid the price. Then when he saw the writing on the wall, that the TALENT had run its course, he left your team HIGH and dry. Did you hear that, THE TALENT wasn't there. That means that there was NO talent left in your old coach's eyes, leaving Coach U with no talent and a non-disciplined team. You want to praise the guy( Meadows), but that is his MO. He is a talent jumper. Let's look at how great he did at William Blount. Oh I remember he LOST. In fact he upset those parents so much that he had to have a POLICE escort to take him to and from the field. Maybe you want to search some posts and see what WB thought about the COACH that you are worshipping, Meadows.

You are exactly correct. These are a bunch of loosers and weaklings whose mommies and daddies kiss their booboos each night. The reason that coaches are not hired by the players is evident here. If these punks had played when we played they would have lasted about 30 minutes. They have no heart, guts, pride or fortitude. Their mommies and daddies are setting them up to be big failures in life.

Who the heck is feeding you information? Neither Scoot or Jeff was suspended in 2003 year. In fact aside from a BS call from a jealous ref against Mo West that year that got Scoot and Arron Carson thrown out of a game and suspended for the next game(both suspensions were lifted by the TSSAA after reviewing the game tape), there was nothing even close to a discipline problems all season.

You have already proven who spews lies on the T. How many times have YOU incorrectly STATED things about Oakland that were not even remotely true. You NEVER played for Coach U...not ONE single snap. Patriotposse played for him for FOUR yrs. I think he is pretty qualified to state his opinion on here about his former coach.

Bottom line......Meadows saw the writing on the wall.....that the Talent graduated. After 2 yrs, he bailed on you. So.......accept it ...with the talent that Meadows had maybe even YOU could have taken that group to the playoffs. But fact is...he didn't take them all the way did he?

I think we ALL remember that your OWN fans told you forever ago to SHUT up on here. When your OWN folk won't back you up...well it tells the TRUE picture doesn't it?
