Former Oakland coach Rick Butler

I know Rick Butler left Oakland (Marty E. took his place at OHS) and went to the University of the South as an assistant coach. He wasn't at Sewanee this past season and I was wondering if anyone knows of his present status. Didn't he coach one of the Clarksville teams before coming to Oakland?

Last I heard he was at the University of North Alabama, but that was a year or so ago, so things could have changed. Would like to hear where he is at now

Rick is at Cumberland in Lebanon...at least he was this last fall 05. With the HC getting the ax.....who knows now?

 

Ys he was HC at Clarksville prior to coming to OHS....and brought Marty with him to Oakland.

Butler was at Clarksville NE, back in the Travis Stephens and Marcus Gildersleeve eras.

If Cumberland has any sense, they will name him as their new head coach before new years.

I believe I read where he now works with coach Gatewood at Velocity sports in Chattanooga.

He is now coaching with the Kats.
