The real question remains is who'd you want your son to play for? I know who I'd pick without question. I do think they are both perfect fits for their respective programs.

I believe that Maple will bring the Wood against a good Greenville team. I know that ya'll will give them a game unlike thier walk over from last year. It's amazing that a team as bad as that bunch from last year made it to the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.

While, I do agree that Gallatin is good and should win this weak classification called 5A (TSSAA MAKES MORE MONEY),they will go down against a very tough and disiplined MT Juliet team.

They should have not scheduled MJ right now. MJ will beat them as bad as they want to. MJ should be at least a semi-final team this year.

This will be a great football game. Oakland is down a little, Wave are trying to prove themselves. I don't think oakland can pound at the wave and win. They gotta get players into space to win the game. I gotta go with the wave on this one in a close one.

SM won't tackle mathers, cause price normally puts his best on offense. The blaze are already suspect on defense by losing 9 or 10 from last year defense. I do also think that SM will be stronger across the board because of price and his efforts in the weight program. While it will be a high scoring affair, SM should win by 7, UNLESS mathers runs for 300 plus, blackman wins!

All I know is, who had ever heard of Grenville before last year and our poor excuse of everybody gets a trophy so the tssaa can make more money!

All of it works as far as resistance training goes. You could use the BFS, 5-3-1, or create your own using Prilepin’s Chart. All methods will get you results and the only trick is the scheduling of program. I do prefer to lift with sub-maximal weight though. Coaches want to develope explosive players and the best way imo is to move the bar fast. Few years back I heard a great strength mind pose the question " would you rather a guy be explosive doing 315 ten times or slowly struggle with 415 once"? I favor the explosive reps to develope football players. Anyway, none of us are as smart as we think we are and sometimes we make stuff harder than it has to be. Believe in what you do with passion and vigor and others will follow. Lastly, the number one thing overlooked by most coaches is developing motor learning with those players that are not "gifted" as athletes.
