Jackson Co vs. Westmoreland

Don't you know....

 

Don't never talk about turnovers (or missed lay-ups, missed free throws, missed assignments, etc.............) on this board......

 

It's easier to get online and blame those that can't defend themselves...

 

I would like to see a game with no referees, and just let the kids (and coaches) call the fouls and violations on their own.... Better yet, pick one fan from each team, sitting in the stands, and let them have a whistle and referee from the stands...

 

I'm sick of the "blame everyone but me" excuses......

if you read my post i said westmoreland deserved to win. their kids played hard and your right jc did miss some layups. however, jc did not have 30 turnovers. also, considering that westmoreland outscored jc 27-3 from the free throw line it was a good game. just would like to see it called the same on both ends.

The championship of this tournament will be played tomorrow night when Clay County plays East Robertson. These brackets are a joke. It won't matter whether its Westmoreland or Macon County playing in the finals, either team will lost by atleast 20 points to either East Rob. or Clay County.

Undercut shooters?? That would be a definite foul. I have watched Westmoreland play several games, and I can't say that they "undercut shooters". What an unfair statement. Westmoreland wanted the game more when they played Jackson Co. and they played the better game that night even though both teams were evenly matched. Westmoreland won the game and didn't "undercut shooters". The refs called it like they saw it. Were you at the game?

on the boys side its Clay vs E. Robertson at 6:30 and then Westmoreland vs Hermitage Springs at 9:30.

 

Trousdale Co. was much improved with their football players back, they are very athletic and very fast. It was a close game throughout. Walden came back for Clay Co and made the difference in the game. Clay will have to play alot better if they are to beat E. Robertson thats for sure. There were four teams out of this bracket, Clay Co. E. Robertson, Friendship Christian and Trousdale Co. that would have won the other bracket, however you want to play good competition this time of year and this bracket definately has that!

Sorry can't agree with your comments above. It definitely is the stronger bracket with those teams in it but that doesn't give any one of the four teams an automatic win in the other bracket. I don't know if you remember but Westmoreland beat Trousdale Co. (with their football players back) just last week in the championship game of the Red Boiling Springs Christmas Tournament. Trousdale County is much improved and they will beat some teams that overlook them like Clay Co. overlooked them. Westmoreland is much improved also. Maybe these brackets aren't as much a joke as you say they are. Clay Co. had all they wanted last night and were extremely lucky (hit their foul shots on the end) to walk away with a win. That's what makes these tournaments so exciting. Anything can happen. Who would have thought Jackson Co. would be the first team to be put out of the tournament? (by Portland). Westmoreland is the 5th best team in this tournament. I watched the Trousdale/Westmoreland game last week and they won only because they were playing in Macon Co. Westmoreland could not beat Clay County, Friendship or E. Robertson. Didn't Clay Co. already beat Westmoreland by like 29 or 30 points right before the season started, and wasn't the game AT Westmoreland? Friendship then beat Clay Co. like the owned them and E. Robertson beat Friendship. The brackets were weighted to favor Macon and Westmoreland, or are you just going to say it was a coincidence that they were both in the opposite brackets of the 3 power house teams in this tournament? I don't want to hear anything about records either, the tournament was fixed to favor the home teams so lets state the facts.
