Temple/Grace

I think McMasters' teammates take him out of the game more than any one defender does. To be honest, the three times I have seen Grace play, he has scored a good bit when he got the ball. He just doesn't get the ball much, plus they start him at the free throw line, which completely takes him away from the basket. He passes well to make up for it though I guess.

This had to be one of the best games I've seen this year.

I'm sorry Temple lost but it was still an exciting high school basketball game.

Congratulations to Grace for defeating the Crusaders.

I was impressed by what I saw on Temple's squad.

You may have lost this one but there were a lot of positive things that happened that you guys can build upon for the rest of the season.

I have to say that Dee Newson is one of the best players in the Chattanooga area.

He plays great defense and can handle the rock. And one other word: QUICK.

And what can you say about Seth Skogen?

When you need someone to hit the shots he's got to be the guy.

One word for him: CLUTCH.

Then there is Josh Smith.

He may not be the go to guy but he hit two big threes when no one saw it coming.

Plus, his defense on the 6'10 McMasters. WOW! (my one word for him)

When he was in the game guarding Carter -- the big man was held in check.

I heard that a certain college coach was at the game to see McMasters.

I wonder if he was thinking -- "a 6'2 guy holding a 6'10 guy to only 7 points"?

But anyway, good game Josh.

Oh by the way, for those that think trying to make fun of McMasters, I'm not.

We all know his day is coming.

To the rest of the Temple players, good game.

I know you'll get 'em next time.

I guess I should mention Jeremy Sexton too.

The kid is going to be a great one in the days ahead.

Just to think - - he's only a freshman.

I only hope that Temple can hold on to this kid.

You impressed alot of folks in the tournament. Keep up the good work.

I'm surprised no one has said anything about Dilts' travel at the end of the game.

Am I the only one who saw it?

I can't believe the refs didn't see it. Of course, they didn't see a lot of things.

But that one was so crucial and they just let it go.

Oh well, what's done is done.

Hope Temple takes care of business on Friday night.

Did anyone say anything about Caleb Skogen's tackle of Johnny Parshall @ the Region Championship last year?

I'll check it today. What is amazing is no other Temple poster has screamed about a travel call. What of all the block/charge calls? What about Smith's two hands in McMasters back all day long?

It was a travel but that's the way it goes.

And as for the block/charge calls -- there were some on both sides.

One in particular for temple was when Josh Smith took an obvious charge and instead he was called for the foul. So look at the tape on that one as well while you are at it. And from what I remember Smith didn't have his hands all over McMasters back all day long. Just admit it that he is just stronger than Carter and did a great job on defending him.

Let's face it -- basketball is a very physical game.

What about this no call? Anyone? Anyone?

    • Gravedigger gotta finish filling the hole before hitting 40 East. May need a new Yellow Shirt play signaler on the Stones. And apparently a new strength coach now. Cicadas must've got shaken out of the bushes in Donelson. Hopefully the mower man sticks around to keep DG field looking pristine. Maybe new OC can call in a favor to his PGA friends that knows a thing or two about being green during the season. The heat is on soon. Bring in the 2 way freak Iceman and cool things off. He knows a thing or 2 about wildcats. Gotta take our talents South soon for Nationals. Don't step on my blue suede shoes.
    • I think this goes on a lot more than most people know, maybe not finishing an entire geometry class in 90 minutes. This situation seems special.
    • Clint and Blake sitting at home right now after Sunday service having a family discussion.   Pork Chops and Greens on the menu, and maybe some cookies and milk for a snack later.   Clint probably told him he sucked and ruined the legacy, and would be right.   The next HC sits in MJ, but wears blue, JMO.
    • Report from Kodak was the RV isn't ready to load on back.   Working on option offense now because "he can do it all" like his dad.   Zebra had enough had to call a timeout and head on back early for some weekend work down in the Och.   @Sackmaster50 doing running the dance circuit winning titles on the weekend, needs to talk to the boss and get the schedule figured out.
