Any guesses? David Lipscomb blows out Ezell and then gets beat by Pearl who got beat by 10+? at Ezell. This district is definitely in need of Prozac. My guess would be Pearl gets the nod because of homefield advantage. Pearl +5.

You are right about Lipscomb, But Ezell tryed to press them and couldnt hit anything. It simply goes to show that any team that has size and play's Lipscomb should play a zone make lipscomb shoot from outside. That is how F.R.A. beat them and How Pearl Cohn beat them and how goodpasture got close. The difference between Pearl Cohn and Ezell is that Ezell pressed Pearl. It will be a great game but dont come on Friday the game has been moved to tomorrow night (Thursday), the winner controls their District Destiny.......Against pearl Deathridge got in foul trouble and sat, at one time the game was 20 points, this will be closer..I do not bet but if I did I would take that 5 points........

LOL....With money on the line I wouldn't give it to you. I didn't get to see Ezell play Pearl. I do know this............Ezell is, in my opinion, one of the better teams that I have seen. I have not seen Pearl Cohn play so my statement is meant as no disprespect to them. Sharpshooter, just so you'll know, I hope that Ezell wins. I like them. From what I have been told, they could be strong for a couple more years. It should be interesting to watch. I saw Lipscomb rip Ezell apart so I have to figure that Pearl is pretty good. I guess we'll find out Thursday.

I'm not sure what previous comments you are talking about. To answer your question, I have seen five Ezell games: Oakland, Forest, Goodpasture,David Libpscomb&Franklin Road Academy. I think you mixed up Ezell with Pearl Cohn. I have not seen them play. I will tonight, however.

Kudos  to the Pearl-Cohn coach, her big post player (Sheleetha Ferby #42) receieved a technical foul in the second period, the coach removed Ferby from the game and never allows her to return. Ferby sat on the bench the rest of the game and cheered her team mates on. This game was big for Pearl-Cohn with 4 minutes left in the game, Ezell-Harding only had a 6 point lead (a game with 1st in the district on the line). this coach teaches her team about discipline, how many other coaches would do that. I am very proud to witness a coach putting the discipline of her girls over winning of a game, that's big.

Thanks for the lesson coach.

    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
    • I know the RB from OR he’s fast and has good hands. Is good on special teams also. Didn’t want to play defense over to the Ridge.
