I am picking my boys in Cookeville. I think the boro will be weak this year..Cookeville will definitely be the sleeper this year..

1.Cookeville-a lot of unknown talent

2.Warren Co.-great pitching may make a run for the title

3.Lebanon-Great young talent

4.White Co.-all around decent

5.Siegel-Lost SS

6.Blackman-Still missing David Price

7.Oakland-weaker than normal

8.Riverdale-weak senior class-lacking in several areas...questionable

Wow! I'll have to re-evaluate my thinking. Cookeville has Crossman and I agree w/ the unknown talent. Please shed some light. Warren County has Killian and Rogers but do they have the offense? I don't know I am asking. David Price proved you have to have offense to win in our district. Oakland weaker than normal? Lack of senior leadership at Riverdale with Choate (Tenn Tech signee), Wright 3 year starter, Powers 3 year starter, Richardson returning behind the plate?

Hey we talked about yall in one of the previous threads i was wondering if you could answer a queston for me.....Usuallly you take a lot of SRs i noticed this year on your roster you have quite a few JRs why is that? Was the SR talent pool weaker or did you have trouble getting those commitments or what?

    • Ok l will bite. What exactly are Football Families?
    • Honestly the A.D. may be powerless at Maryville to some degree versus other schools. I know he has his hands full with GoFan and all the stupid surprises just from the emails he sends out during the season.
    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
