The predictions are very respectable. I don't quite know what you mean when you say Sycamore's coach learned from "the BEST White House". Could you clarify that one for me please because as far as I know Halstead has never had any affiliation whatsoever with White House football???? I believe White House is a very well coached football team year in and year out. With that having been said I see in your post where you said "Pearl Cohn can't beat a well coached team". Last year PC did not have a Santonio Beard, John Henderson, or Buck Fitzgerald on the field and they beat White House in what was a very hard fought football game (the score was 14-7). I suspect that is going to be the game that decides the winner of this region this upcoming season.

The Sycamore coach was interviewed by George Plaster a year or so ago. In the interview, it was brought up that the Sycamore coach molded his program from that of White Houses'. I don't think he ever coached at any capacity in the WH program, but it was more of a mentoring thing going on. I may have made it sound more than what it is, that's easy to do when you try to type the least that you have to. Everyone uses someone as a mentor, so that is no knock to anyone. When you start out at whatever, you would be a fool not to seek out successfull individuals for mentoring. Successfull people act as mentors to each other, as long as it is not detrimental to their company or program. As far as Pearl Cohn beating WH last year. The score doesn't lie, but it also doesn't say - WH lost, but 3 linemen were out & the rest were first year starters. It will be interesting how the region shakes out. I have no doubt this is the overall toughest region in the state - 1A-5A! I'm not saying WH could beat Riverdale, I'm saying the competition in this region is the toughest in the state.

maybe not the toughest in the state but very good competition should be evenly matched with some good competition to prepare for the playoffs

I believe that transfer is Randall Toney who rushed for 1,000+ yards last season while playing at Station Camp. He and West in the same backfield running behind an experienced offensive line will make WH tough to beat in '06.

    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
