Live by the three die by the three. HL learned a valuable lesson. no plan b.

What plan b would you suggest? HL overachieved all season. They have only 5 players, no size, ... I think our Coach got more out of the hand he was dealt than anyone could have. They shot the 3 ball all year, won 28 games, advanced to the state final 8. And by the way, your Cobras have MUCH more depth, size, and ability BUT the 3's beat them 3 times.

That said, I hope our neighbors (Whites Creek) bring home the gold ball.

If HL played with the same intensity they play with when they play WC, they would've beaten shelbyville. Henley did. Coach should trust his bench more. Lippe can handle the ball and shoot. there are some guys on that bench that can play. remember HL's junior class was city champs as freshman................

only one person can shoot the ball at a time. some of those guys can come in play defense, set screens, etc. when u put two of your top offensive threats to defend Barry Stewart who is a STUD that effects their own offense(mike jones and uryan scales).

surely someone on the bench can come in and get 5 fouls and frustrate him. instead stewart did all of the frustrating.

HL had a great season. Trust me I know how good they are. They beat the creek 3 times.

come on now are you sure. It looked like to me they were intense. Thats discounting the effort of Shelbyville. When a team is in the state tourney they are always gonna be intense 99.9% of time well except siegel. The word you may be looking for is smart. I did not think HL played very smart at all, especially some of the shot selection was not smart

Cobrafan90, all of those freshman city champs are not still there are they/ Wasn't Robert Ellison on that team?

Robert Ellison, Anthony Lippe, and Jeremy Young were the best on that team. Robert Ellison was what made them go, he was the MVP. Robert went to WC, Jeremy's season ended way too early due to injuries, and Lippe played well at times for HL this season.

Clint's narrative, imbued with the ethos of resilience, navigated the tumultuous waters of the 1980s with commendable fortitude. As for the prospective successor to the coaching helm, the mention of esteemed mentor Nick Saban's absence prompts a discerning hesitation towards alternative candidates, for excellence is the sole criterion deemed worthy of emulation.  Pray, may I inquire as to your esteemed identity? Are you perchance a luminary within the domain of coaching, endowed with unparalleled wisdom and insight?
