YEA YOUNG HAD 1 POINT IN THE SECOND HALF AND POWELL HAD 4.

I 'M NOT EVEN GOING TO SAY IT WAS THE DEFFENCE..I THINK THEIR COACH DIDN'T HAVE A CLUE HOW TO WIN THE GAME. SEEMS LIKE HE WOULD HAVE CALLED A TIME OUT AND GAVE HIS TEAM THE BUISNESS. HOWEVER THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN. MITCHELL LOST IT WILL BE heck OF A LONG RIDE HOME. AND MY TEAM WON. ONLY BECOUSE THEY HAD ENOUGH CONFIDENCE, BELIEF..AND HEART. ALSO THEY PLAYED THEIR BUTTS OFF EVERY GAME.

I knew Liberty had a chance...not taking away from them by any means but Mitchell kinda shot themselves in the foot...announcers said Thad Young had one point in the second half...

 

Anyway, Congrats Crusaders!!!

 

That sounds about right! Heck, I'm guessing...Thad probably took only 5 or 6 shots the entire 2nd-half!

 

No disrespect, but Liberty did absolutely nothing to contribute to Thad's lack of 2nd-half production, trust me! Mitchell's Coach (and nobody else) gets exclusive honors for that stunning development.

GUESS WHAT. IF HE KEPT HIMSELF FROM SCORING, THAT IS STILL GOOD ENOUGH REASON TO LOSE. HEY ITS LIKE THIS..BASKETBALL GAMES ARE 32 MINUTES...IF A PLAYER WANTS TO WIN THEY PLAY THEIR HEARTS OUT AND LEAVE EVERYTHING THEY HAVE ON THE COURT. MITCHELL TOOK SOME TO THE LOCKER ROOM WITH THEM.

 

AND THUS LIBERTY STATE CHAMPS.

Congratulations Liberty. You guys deserved it. You all play together like a team should. This is coming from a Bolivar player, and I ain't got nothing but love for yall. I know we've had our differences but, you guys came out on top in the end. Once again congratuations on an excellent season and what a way to finish it. Good luck next year to Brandon Evans and all the graduating seniors, and for the rest of yall I look foward to another great rivalary next year. Hopefully we'll be playing each other for the gold ball next year.

Awesome game! Jewuan Long stepped it up BIG time in the second half. That kid was playing with heart and desire and I am so glad he got the MVP honors, he definitely deserved it. I'm so happy for the Long brothers. Great effort by Liberty as a team overall. Great year! I don't think you could have wrote a better script for these guys.

A big CONGRATS goes out to the Liberty Crusaders.......When everyone thought you were down, myself included, you fought back, and proved that you are the #1 team in the state.....

 

This goes to show you that size and athletic talent doesn't do everything for you.....Liberty showed heart throughout the game, and I want to commend them for that.......

 

WHAT A GAME!!!!!

      Yeah summer ball is really fun, but a lot of coaches are trying to play several kids to get much needed reps that they are not accustomed to. I would imagine Gibson County will have lots of players playing to get much needed reps. Want to win games but got to get experience as well and the rotation will be much deeper. I will be at MTSU, UTM Bethel and others. MTSU is the one I really look forward to.

      Its always interested to see the state teams the following summer after losing or not losing seniors and getting freshman and transfers. It's almost time.

      Maryville has Alcoa on the schedule at the right time of the season which helped last year instead of at the first of the year not knowing much. West will be hard pressed to repeat this year but next will be a different story.
